She wants to have possession of all the documents and evidence related to her case, which isn't appropriate when you are under council. She'll get the documents now, but not her phone and laptop or anything being held as evidence. She may have the right to have them brought to her under supervision and for limited pieces of time. She's going to be overwhelmed by the legal protocols and timing for everything an attorney does and doesn't do. And she will be without the many years of experience and wisdom of an attorney like Cashman. Sarah is making this so much worse than it already was when Jorge died. She's done almost everything that an honest person doesn't - on top of he addled decision making during, immediately following, and every day since putting Jorge in the suitcase. I can't see her being successful at "the best possible outcome" she desires.

All get to- you’re just ignorant of the law and WHY judges ensure a FAIR trial. 1) if a murder defendant feels their lawyer isn’t trustworthy (her words), the judge will not force them to work together. That would be stup!d because they will lose and appeal, and win because they weren’t given a fair chance. So a smart judge will cross every t, and dot every i to avoid a successful appeal on their part. 2) her first few lawyers left for reasons not having to do with her. To assume this is because everyone just loves her sooooo much is so stup!d 🤦🏻♀️

2 things make Sarah's case a slam dunk for the prosecutor. 1. The video. 2. All the interviews in which people, including her husband, neighbors, landlord, etc state that Sarah is not only a blackout drinker on a regular basis, but that she also gets violent when she drinks. The video shows her sadistically taunting Jorge as he begins to suffocate to death. Also, regarding all the bruises and cuts/scratches on his body - investigators located a baseball bat near the suitcase. Those bruises were determined to be from blunt force trauma, like someone would get from being bashed by a baseball bat. Ive seen the state's witness list. It includes Sarah's husband, who has already stated Sarah is an extreme drinker, and attacked him many times with her nails as claws. The neighbor, who overheard many fights and arguments, including the "night it happened." The idiot told the investigators she didn't even remember making the video. So then how can she remember anything else? The criteria for 2nd Degree Murder - *In Florida, second degree murder is a first degree felony that occurs when someone intentionally kills another person with malice, but without premeditation. Prosecutors must show that the defendant acted without regard for human life, had enmity toward the victim, or had an ongoing relationship with the victim.* The minimal sentencing guidlines - 15 yrs to Life. You can bet Sarah will spend years working on appeals that fail, before she ever even THINKS about admitting her own fault in all this. THEN, maybe the parole board will think about overlooking her arrogance and narcisstic attitude.
@kateashby3066Күн бұрын
Wow what a helpful comment. Thank you. All but gunarantee you that before Sarah went in for questioning on her own accord that she did a little googling and also saw that word: malice. Because she as VERY quick to tell the detectives “it wasn’t malicious!”. She f’n knew in that moment that she was screwed! She seriously thought that by saying “this is punishment enough and I won’t drink again” that would be a good replacement for a second degree murder charge 😂

The contusions on Jorge's body may have come from Boone pushing the suitcase down the stairs. The neighbors heard it happen. A huge, house shaking, series of thumps and bumps. Sometime in the hour before midnight. Boone had said the suitcase was upstairs. Jorge must have folded himself into it up there, then Boone pushed it over to the top of the stairs, and over. Which also proves that she knew that Jorge was unable to get himself out. And she knew he'd probably be very angry if she DID let him out. Her "I fell asleep" "unintentionally" story has big problems too. The videos are time stamped. She says she went upstairs, and fell asleep. But she phoned her ex husband around midnight. So she was awake for at least another 30 minutes after hearing Jorge say he couldn't breathe. Sadly the ex husband wouldn't/couldn't say what that phone call was about (remember, he married Boone. He knew she was a drinker. He even said she "used to be lots of fun" when she drank. He's a drinker too. The police asked him about that phone call a couple of times, and he gave totally different, competing stories. It would appear that HE can't remember what the call was about. OR he does remember and doesn't want to say. He'd only do that if he made him look bad in some way.) Whatever that call was about, it shows that she was still compos mentis enough to be calling her ex husband. As regards her overall game plan, some people have pointed out that if she has admitted to herself that she's going to prison for some amount of time, any jail time she does will be taken off her prison sentence. So her jail years aren't causing her to lose anything. I don't know if Florida prisons are much worse then Florida jails. I doubt either are nice. When sentenced, unless she gets life, which I don't think she will, she'll then be faced with the prospect of a parole panel. She'll have to admit her guilt and show remorse. THAT will be quite the hurdle for her. She'll fake remorse. Badly. But she'll do it. It's the voicing her responsibility (not "the wine") and her culpability that she'll find intolerable. The longer she fights that, that longer she'll be in. Suits me.

She doesn't understand *_what she did wrong!_* Herein lies the problem! She's a narcissist...she will never understand because she chooses not to and she chooses to be the perpetual victim...it's not her fault! 🙄 I'm shocked she's made it this far in life!

I think she is so full of bs...Cashman stated at the original court case, when 58 page letter presented, that certain documents she wanted had Sarah's handwritten notes all over them. So she had seen at least some of what she claimed they wouldn't show her. The 16? page letter from Judge stating she was not getting a court appointed attorney anymore, would have been delivered to her. There's no way it would have been overlooked. She's a risk for appeal, after appeal. They would be dotting every I, n crossing every t with her. In that letter it stated everything would be boxed and they would look into how to get it to her. She would know this. She is so full of s#it!!! Cashman would have had everything boxed and ready to flick off ASAP. She doesn't want any lingering Boone bits anywhere near her. She will not be ready for any of the dates in Judges ruling, and will call mistrial or something next...

"Boone bits" 😂😂😂 And I wouldn't want them around either. Lol

Well said. I appreciate how she makes it sound like there’s a MOUND of discovery as if this is the Chad Daybell trial 😂. Girl there’s one tape and another recording of you being interrogated and showing no remorse. Plus some witness interviews and whatever nonsense your lawyer cooked up as a defense. That’s it 😂

I read the sentence near the end that she "looks forward to whenever, and WHOEVER" as "I'm expecting another attorney appointed". There's no other "who". She's on her own.

She wrote the letter before attorney was off the case, 6/25 was file date, delay between writing and file entry into court record…

I can't wait for her trial. Someone give her a few Red Bulls before she goes in. Let's turbo charge this. What do you think the odds are of her not getting yelled at by the judge?
@samhartford86772 күн бұрын
0.
@kateashby3066Күн бұрын
Depends on how you define “yelling”. The judge will do what judge Dorrow did with Brooks and be firm but not mean. As soon as the judge takes a mean stance it can be argued that the trial was unfair because to why MUST remain unbiased and impartial. So you won’t see that.
@cindyspangler39822 күн бұрын
Actually, the idea that she may have been collecting enough info to represent herself may be correct. Like using all these lawyers and the judge to provide her with a law education. If that theory is true, she's gotton all the education she's ever gonna get and she really isn't smart enough to understand it. This trial is going to be crazier then Darrell Brooks.

In the state of Florida if you write the Judge like this, it goes in the file and the Judge "has" to read it.

I suspect after she was refused she might well have said something like that - the poor woman looked gutted when the Judge said no! And I wouldn't blame her at all if she did 😁

She is so used to manipulating people it never occurs to her that there are people she can't manipulate. Which is why this is going so spectacularly badly for her. She won't win over a jury. She is not likable.
@leafwind28222 күн бұрын
She's Darrell Brooks level deluded. I hope she learns about jury nullification. Yeah that only works if you are likeable.

She keeps acting like she's not receiving something that is going to help her with the case...... Lady! You taped yourself watching and listening to someone DIE!!! That's why we're here!!!! The evidence is the TAPE YOU RECORDED!!!!!
@kateashby3066Күн бұрын
This is the PROSECUTIONS evidence. She wants to put on her own evidence to counter it, like a mental health expert. Who her previous lawyers were handling but she lost them so… 😂 and yes, that kinda evidence can absolutely mitigate her sentence. She’s up for 16 to LIFE. She needs to show the jury something that makes her look like a victim. Will she successfully? I doubt it. Her behavior in the tape and interrogation show she she truly is. Saying that she did it because she was a battered woman isn’t gunna fly IMO.

Boone is going to have her two-box discovery and medical evaluations. This was the condition the judge imposed on Cashman to let her out of there. Cashman is going to make sure that not a single scrap of paper is left behind.

She's all about games. "Hide and Seek" with another adult... "Pretend Judge" with her attorney... She's quite the character. No. She really doesn't want to represent herself, and she had stated that in one other letter (maybe more). But you know what? I know you got this Sarah!! You excel at EVERYTHING! You got straight A's in school! You can do it! You've been studying up on legal jargon since being in jail... you're a smart cookie! You do what all your attorneys refused to do for you b/c it was unethical!

Cashman was not officially off the case on the 25th. The order allowing her to withdraw was issued on the 28th.

An intelligent, thoughtful and concise analysis in my opinion. A sharing of ideas without pointless repetition. What I note from Boone's handwriting is that her ascenders and descenders are short. She writes Roman letters more like Cyrillic. Just look how she writes the word "all" as an example. I'm not a handwriting expert but this suggests an unconscious lack of confidence masked by a display of grandiose narcissicism.

I honestly don’t think Sarah wants to represent herself. She wants a puppet lawyer who will wax on about how smart, loving and wonderful she is. Instead of the alcoholic who tortured and suffocated her boyfriend while recording and laughing at him (poor Jorge). The battered wife defense requires a level of accountability she is not willing to take, bc it was a good day and it’s Jorge’s fault for not getting himself out the suitcase.
@DagobahDaveКүн бұрын
I think it's a kind of justice that we're all watching Sarah Boone squirm and realize she has practically no options to save herself.
@samr46072 күн бұрын
Sarah was in the courtroom when Cashman discussed her motion to withdraw.
@Holly7072 күн бұрын
Sarah Boone doesn't have faith in her lawyers to do the job right. Sarah wants to be in full control of her case and have a say in it. She believes no one else can do a better job then she can. She believes if they don't do it her way then she will loose. And she can't loose.

Unfortunately, if the judge wants to avoid an appeal or a mistrial, he is going to have to jump through the hoops and get all request and demand all of the former attorneys work
@ajqueen31Күн бұрын
"Whenever and with whomever" sounds like she's still expecting another attorney! Was this written before the judge's ruling on her representing herself? If so, I'm sure her appreciation towards the judge will surely change!
