Rejestracja występu brytyjskiej artystki sopranowej we wspaniałej wiedeńskiej katedrze Stephansdom. Na miejsce koncertu, który odbył się 16 stycznia 2008 r., Sarah Brightman wybrała jedno z najbardziej majestatycznych miejsc Europy. Konsekrowana w 1147 r. katedra Stephansdom słynie z gotyckiej architektury, która wraz ze szczodrą oprawą kolorystyczną koncertu, nadaje mistycznego charakteru występowi artystki. Brightman wykonała utwory z okupującego najwyższe miejsca list przebojów albumu "Symphony", a także ulubione piosenki fanów jak "Phantom of the Opera", "Time to Say Goodbye" i "Ave Maria". Sarah wystąpiła również w duecie z kilkoma znakomitymi gośćmi, w tym z włoskim tenorem Alessandro Safiną, argentyńskim kontratenorem Fernando Limą i brytyjskim piosenkarzem Chrisem Thompsonem z formacji Mannfred Mann's Earth Band.

Sarah Brightman stands head and shoulders above her contemporaries by the way she brings her signature voice, background in the theatre, and her curation of music (she feels works well with her style) together in all her performances. Sarah does not chase the latest music trends but establishes classics or reinterprets standards. The way she takes an arrangement in a live performance, stages the progress though the selection (body positioning and facial expressions), and establishes emotional breaks is magical. As she is not a 'belter' or known for vocal super power, she takes a more subtle approach. In Symphony @9:04 , her performance plays like a theatrical performance where she is performing in the moment / context of a storyline. @13:37 her facial expressions on the outro /closure is quite effective.

A spectacle for the ears and the eyes. And VERY hard to do coordination wise especially the opening Pie Jesu they had to have used monitors and/or feedback speakers/earpieces to pull this off. With that large of a distance in a reverberating space one can not depend on what you hear in the room or phasing in inevitable. But I guess she has been doing this a long time on a variety of stages.

A incredibly beautiful composition and a reminder to never sleep on any Sarah Brightman song. She is one of the few artists in the world where her live versions can outshine her album versions. Her stage training/exposure helps her greatly in her live concerts as she leverages this in her live songs (13:25-13:46 where she uses facial and body control to close the song). Her talent is on so many levels and she delivers.
