Theology is the study of God and religious doctrines. While few people are convinced to become believers by studying theology, many have come to appreciate the issues, complexities, and richness of God through theology.

Theology focuses on divine nature, whereas philosophy focuses on human life and science focuses on physical universe.

The problem is whether god is part of a genus. If a phenomenon is unique things get tricky. For the philosophy of this Aquinas thought each angel was its own genus.

The Cosmic Creator (some call God), using the Laws of Nature, formed a Beautiful Heaven and Earth, containing human existence, which then allows sentient humans, in turn, to create the moral Good and the immoral Evil. Why humans are allowed this creative ability is an important question - with many different answers.

@@ElkoJohn What's your relationship with the truth? You made a bunch of claims but I bet you have no verifiable evidence for them. That makes you dishonest.

Since atheism requires a lot of courage and mental honesty, a lot of people prefer to find excuses or any possible argument just to prove their faith isnt wrong.
@bayreuth79
@bayreuth79 6 жыл бұрын
Does it? It doesn't requite much courage or honesty to be an atheist, especially in the contemporary situation in which atheism is "trendy". I notice that you give no reasons as to way we should think that God doesn't exist.

in my opinion, atheism is easy. it's really easy to believe in something that you cannot seen directly, to dispute the unseeable, as to say, whereas those who have faith, to stand and argue for their faith and provide reasons for WHY - THAT takes a lot of courage and mental honesty; especially to stand up for it in argument

Atheism is easy lol. No ultimate judge to account for after you die. You can be your own god in this life and do as you see fits.

If god is not real but is instead a human fabrication then what is theology apart from a hoax?
@KimClark-1
@KimClark-1 2 жыл бұрын
Well, the good news is that God is love. A unifying love across all creation. And a loving God allows questions from those seeking relationship and truth.

@@KimClark-1 That's why I don't believe any god exists. I care that what I believe is true. If god were real he could answer any specific question. But there is no question you can ask god that you'll ever get an answer. Not one. Want to try? Here's one... ask god how exactly many stars are in the milky way galaxy (not including black holes). Only an all knowing being could know that. Get back to me when you get an answer, but I won't be holding my breath.

The problem is 'fabrication'. Making doesn't mean unreal, all knowledge includes the human element, this doesn't mean the inhuman is illusory.

What is it that you believe? Can you state it eloquently? Try being less harsh. Try on a little humility. Be teachable, and see where that takes you. The journey is beautiful!

Stop believing in an invented god God is the Universe
@GBabuu
@GBabuu 4 жыл бұрын
"God is a universe" is a cheap conclusion by avoiding the full thrust of the idea of what "God is"? If there has to be a "God", He must be transcendent All dimensions (temporal and spatial). He must be non contingent He must be All Powerful and Yet All Loving The God inferred by Jusus is the Only One who qualifies the above criteria. God bless!!
