Two of England's greatest players sat side by side. The stories they must have are amazing

Terrible news - best leader I've ever seen on a rugby field. Absolute legend. She will always be a Red Rose and one of the greatest at that!!!!Thanks for all the hours of Red Rose Rugby that I've watched you play in. Have a great retirement, Sarah!

Absolutely amazing player, I really felt for her in the World Cup, devastating. I’ve never seen the roses live and so sad I will never see Sarah captain GB, I would have loved it. Best of luck Sarah, I’m sure we will be hearing you in commentary soon. Xx

Just amazing. An absolute credit to herself. A leader, most humble and giving person and not a bad rugby player! She deserves all the plaudits and awards that come her way. Enjoy your last game.

Thank you Sarah ❤ You have been an enthusiastic and dedicated player, an inspiring captain and team leader. I watched You and your team several years ago and I was hooked. The Red Roses may not have beaten New Zealand YET, but we have been so close and it will be because of your legacy that we WILL win. Thank you so much. ❤

I'm a Black Ferns supporter however Sarah Hunter is a total legend on and off the field. All Rugby teams male or female need a Captain like Sarah Hunter. Congratulations on an amazing career and all the best in your retirement.

Sports cruel, woulda, shoulda, coulda, didn't but deserved winners Black Ferns. Don't forget the Ferns have a proud proud rugby culture & we were destroyed and annihilated by England & also France. Humiliated ,humbled, hurt, not once but 4 in a row by 2 reams playing rugby on a level way way above us.

its not very often that you can get two real legends of the great game. We love sitting next to each other I would pay millions to have a photo of them both sitting there and talking , what a pair of real sporting greats Katy( danger mouse )my own nick name, ha ha ha ha and Sarah hunter the great white English shark both very true legends and great players of the best game in the world as a bloke it made me cry to see her retire. almost felt like my dad died again I have over watching the red roses over the years and now she is not there its like one of those big red petals has fallen off and will never come back, legend is a word that is said too often but SARAH HUNTER is a legend and inspiration and a role modelled just a great person to us all

If only the men had such a great leader! I’ve also not been able to watch the final back and I disagree that NZ were worthy winners. They we’re lucky and had England had 15 players for they full game they would have won handsomely
Adam Lewis2 ай бұрын
It's how the game goes, NZ deserve it because they played as Hood arguably better on the day.

As a Kiwi much much respect to a great leader , wonderful player for England . Contribution to not just womens rugby but to rugby as a whole is a legacy she leaves behind. F**k I thought were gonners even though Roses only had 14 during the final. Greatest test in my opinion ,women or men
