I love the fact that Sarah is widening her palette and trying different sounds. Keep exploring and singing! Love jealous Moon!

She does it to me every time as soon as I hear her voice, goosebumps or watery eyes, or both. Her songs penetrate into my closed heart where they don't have permission to go. Gets me every time. Excellent musician and singer.

I've yet to watch a bad Salt Lick video. Don't know how you constantly get such great artists to perform for you, but I'm so glad you do. And Bean is the perfect presenter, so happy and enthusiastic, with such a genuine love of good music. Sarah Jaroz is yet another favourite. Two beautifully performed songs; such emotion dovetailing the interview revealing insight into the artist and her inspirations. Thanks, all!

Really enjoyed this interview with Sarah, including the fact that she started out with such a beautiful version (cover) of a song I had never heard before. (Sarah does great covers!! Anyone not familiar should look on her KZbin page.) Also interesting to hear an acoustic version of Jealous Moon. Oh, by the way, the interview itself was also great -- I am such a fan of her music; good to hear her in conversation and learn a few new things about her career. Will have to check out artists she mentions . . . I am eternally grateful to Sarah because I learned about the very special Nanci Griffith in an interview I heard in a previous year. Note to the interviewer: I would probably be shaking, too. Sarah comes across as very warm and unassuming, but she is really one of the greats -- there's nobody like her, as far as I know, and she keeps moving forward, creatively, as demonstrated by her previous album, World on the Ground, and now this new one.

@@saltlicksessions Keep up the good work. And damn, Sarah Jarosz is so amazing . . . have you listened to her early albums recently? Like, when she was in high school, or shortly thereafter? What a musical genius, and open hearted person. Our culture needs people like her. I thought World on the Ground was a masterpiece, beginning to end. My prediction (and hope): Maybe she will do an album or two more with Daniel Tashian? I am also looking forward to her composition, Concerto for Octave Mandolin and orchestra. I really think the world of her.

Loving that the 2 songs that I connect with of Joni's as "favorites" are the same two she mentioned...

Sarah continues to wound my soul. I HATED Jimmy Buffet because I grew up on a lake and his big hits were unavoidable. But I had never heard "He went to Paris"...and now I want to learn it. See you later this year, Sarah!
