I think that Undoukai are truly Life in Japan. Only in Japan. I guess you don't encounter sports days of this scale when you are overseas. Our children's school has a sports day , but it is by grade, the preparation is left to the teachers, and practice is held only once or twice. On the other hand, in Japan, everyone is very motivated and it is a good opportunity to learn the fun and sometimes frustration of competition. I would like to thank the teachers and those who prepared for this event. Parents are also very impressed by the seriousness of their children at this school event. It is good to see people from overseas introducing themselves. Hopefully, it will spread abroad.
Sarah's and Joshua's School Olympic Games were so fun to watch! They both did great! Love the spirit of cooperation and competition displayed in these games! The Japanese sure know how to do these kinds of events.

What a fun day ! These kids are learning teamwork and responsibility while having fun. Thanks for posting this one.
These events look so much fun! It's also so much fun that the cousins go to the same school. I don't know if it is because I have been watching your older videos while waiting for Friday but my goodness Sarah and Joshua have grown so much. Time really flies.

I wish I could see their faces when they get older and see what they think of themselves when they were little

Great job Sarah and Joshua, I was also nervous about the results since they were in both red and white team 😅 glad it was a tie! I loved that version of Tug of War.
Another great video. Thank you to the whole Reutters family for taking the time and effort to share your Japanese life with us every week. Greetings from Slovenia.

Thanks for watching! I sang in a choir in college that toured through Austria and Slovenia!! I don't remember what cities we went to, but yeah - I'd love to go back. :)

@@LIJ Wow, small world. You've probably been to Vienna and Ljubljana among others, where most of the concerts take place. I hope you enjoyed the tour and saw something other than the concert halls and I hope that one day you and your family will have the opportunity to travel around Europe.

It's interesting they only divide into two teams, even though they have twice as many grades as the twins school. I guess it's more about bonding as a school rather than competition at this age.
