This songs hold a special spot in my soul. It was my grandpa's favorite song. He passed away 6 weeks after he gave me away at my first wedding. Then followed two miscarriages over the following four years.. when I lost my grandpa I felt I lost everything. Sarah McLachlan absolutely has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard in my entire lifetime. This is definitely one of my favorite songs from her. The vocals and lyrics along with the background music are hands down perfection. Anyone attempting to do a cover for any of her songs, as well as Celine Dion's, AliciaKeys', and Whitney Houston's, are very brave and have huge shoes to fill. Their voices and music are one of a kind. Those covering for them are definitely going to be criticised for any mistaken pitches or being even mildly or slightly off key because those particular artists have voices of angels and are extremely unique and universally known to be uncomparable to another human being on this Earth. I know doing a cover for any artist doesn't mean doing the vocals exactly alike because there is no possible way another person can; however, Samantha, you have a very distinguishable and angelic voice like no other as well. I applaud you for your performances in each song you have done a cover for. Those of us that are fans of artists with soulful voices, that you will never hear ever again in your life, really appreciate someone using what they feel in their heart to guide their voice as they let their talent and beauty flow out as they sing. You have a God given gift and He has blessed you with a voice that carries so much hope, love, influence and positivity that it is unreal. People pursuing their dreams in the music industry should all look to you for inspiration. You should do everything you possibly can to reach your goals and dreams in the music industry.
