PRIME Sarah here. Frikin amazing! Just perfection. She and Sinead O"Cconnor are my favourite female vocalists of the past 25 years.

Seriously under-rated bass groove. Her bass player is a monster.

Agreed. I revisited the record in a layover at Denver and was so knocked out by the bass that I made my wife listen to it. It's WAY beyond my capability.

Jeffery Ryan if you get the chance, you definitely should. I saw her right after she released her most recent album and I don’t think I’ll ever see anyone better. She was just as good, if not better, live.

When I saw Sarah perform in Brisbane 2004 on the Afterglow tour she played this song and Black and White too. Two very unexpected songs on her set list. It was awesome.

@@trsidn watching these people play as one in a band and the energy you can see them give to the crowd is awe inspiring and makes me rethink a lot of my life decisions as a boy i wish i had got into drama club or music and never been a good sheeple and played sports like the other boys...

1:48-2:06 her enunciation here was light years ahead of when the song was new and she did it live. The live versions back when Solace was new were kind of impossible to understand at that part but I clearly could hear the words in this performance. She improved a lot in that short time period it seems. 3:23 it’s a little sad that she didn’t do the high part that she did in the live performances back then though. You can hear her background singer do it but Sarah did it herself in 92.

I think it worked better at 3:23 with her not doing the high part, instead chord harmonizing with the bg singers

She did do the high end in one of the mirrorball concerts. It is on the CD release, but not on the dvd. To hear her voice unravel slightly as if overcome by emotion is epically lovely. I could listen over an over again.
