As a longtime fan who has all her CDs and admired her as an artist and a political activist. I would be very very curious to get her perspective as a Canadian woman on the problem of fatherless homes and the damage that modern extreme feminism has done to the female minds of Western society. Oh by the way great live performance of this classic track.

Great comment. Of course one would have to be under a rock not to know of Sarah, but funny thing is, although I'm' quite a music fan, and even originally Canadian, she just never got on the radar for me much. About a month ago I watched one of her videos that ended up in my KZbin feed......and I was instantly mesmerized. I have been on a Sarah binge since then, watching dozens of videos of music and interviews with her. What a an absolutely beautiful, talented, unpretentious, captivating woman. One really just can't put it into words. But just like you, I'm very hip to men's issues and have been for almost about 15 years. That said, and as I'm sure you probably know, I learned during my Sarah binge of the last few weeks that she is a very strong feminist. Even still, she is probably the only woman that I know of, and I follow these issues closely, and definitely the only woman of high profile, that expresses strong feminist views while not exuding strong resentment or misandry when she speaks on the matter. It seems as thought she really, honestly just has believed the narrative and comes from a sincere place of wanting to make a difference. Of course she is grossly misinformed. I was for most of my life as well, until about 40 years old, so I can relate completely. I even heard her describe herself in several interviews as being a "conservative woman from conservative parents"......while still espousing strong feminist positions. And I really think that she is sincere in this and doesn't see the contradiction. But to wrap it up, and obviously you can tell I find this fascinating by how much I have written here, (I've been thinking many hours about this over the last few weeks), I couldn't help but notice that I don't see really anything much from her as far as interviews and public engagement over the last few years. Since about the date of this video actually. And the little that I have been able to find, I haven't heard her say a word about women's or social issues. Being that she is obviously such a bright, introspective person that has been very vocal with activism, I just can't help but think that the last few years have opened her eyes to the reality of the situation. Just like is happening for millions of others, in light of metoo and the continuing tsunami of false allegations, not to mention the horrific lockdowns of Canada and its every encroaching totalitarian state.

After hearing from Sarah what this song was about and the story behind it, I was pretty bummed out. I had always interpreted it a much more positive and romantic song. I still hear it that way, but it's a little different now.
