I have no issue with gay people either, but people are missing the point why Sarah and everyone is upset and angry at Todd, especially their loved ones. Todd was the one who wanted to get a flat, rush Sarah into marriage and having a baby, Sarah didn’t want to have another baby. Partly, he wanted to prove to people that he could be a good man, husband, father and support them. He also wanted to prove to Jason that he was a man because Jason often made fun of Todd for being a virgin and all that crap. Both of their families thought getting married and having a baby wasn’t the right call due to how young they were. Eileen hoped Todd would go to college and become a lawyer because of how smart he was and how seriously he took school. Gail didn’t want Sarah to get tied down so early because she had Bethany at 13 and now was the time she could get her life back together. Then, while she was pregnant, Todd was experimenting with his sexuality, lying and reassuring Sarah that he wasn’t gay. Him drinking with Karl, being in and out of the flat and coming home late and avoiding her stressed her out and the baby. Eventually, once he told her, she was heartbroken, frustrated and stressed to the point where their baby died. I’m sorry, but if you were Sarah in this situation, would you be able to accept Todd liking guys minutes after telling you?

I can understand how angry Sarah feels but I honestly don’t think Todd was trying to lie to her for the duration of their relationship. You definitely don’t just wake up and decide to be gay, but sometimes you just don’t realize it until after you’ve been in a heterosexual relationship or a few heterosexual relationships. Heck some people don’t figure it out until later in life, when they’ve already gotten married to someone of the opposite sex and had children. It’s understandably tough for Sarah to face this (gay or not, he was being unfaithful and that’s not okay), but it’s clearly just as tough on Todd.
