Except there's no evidence of that but an anonymous rumor on some random website (with a lousy track record of accuracy, a known negative bias against a Suits cast member, and a history of accepting blind rumors from non-credible sources that are written like bad stan-fiction), and smattering of deleted bot comments, while on the other hand there's a horde of bts footage, interviews and bloopers featuring Sarah, Gabriel, and even Jacinda, before/during/after the alleged affair period with none of them giving even the slightest hint in body language, word or deed that such an explosive incident happened/was found out. No guilt, no awkwardness, no loss of rapport, and not a single negative vibe from Jacinda in footage most definitely filmed after the time period she allegedly "found out" and went "ballistic". Public footage is curated no doubt, but the body language of bad vibes is not so easily erased, and there's *nothing* there. In the world we live in anything is possible, but seeing as having a male best friend has given me a front row seat to the relentless, disgusting, lecherous rumors of strangers my whole life, I'm neither convinced nor impressed by the veracity of the rumor, nor the unempathetic people celebrating it. Smells like bullshit to me. Come back when you can prove it.

You know, I don't want to be inconsistent or hypocritical, so I'll just add to my own previous response: There might be weight to this ordeal after all, but apparently the bulk of incriminating details is a mass of Instagram micro behavior. I'm still suspicious about the blind rumor website post--it sounds like it came from a fan, not a source. But based on a deep dive I had to ask for on Insta, it feels like they're all a wreck right now personally. More's the pity--this isn't even close to the only fandom I've had to deal with this exact rumor game, but it's worse when you uncover real pain. I'm baffled when I meet people who enjoy it--having your private life vivisectioned hurts whether there's something rotten there or not. Like I said though, I want to admit when I'm wrong and it seems like I was.

@@andreaoak I know what you mean. I think for me, I try very hard not to engage in anything except the content of the story since I've encountered a lot of people who become incredibly toxic with parasocial relationships, and I think celebrity culture is far too prone to toxicity in the first place. But people just keep bringing this kind of thing up in just about every fandom that involves a love story--most of the time it's entirely viewers just wanting to have their ships be real, and wishful thinking. The reason I get so wound up about it is because I have multiple male best friends I've experienced a lifetime of slander for having. A straight woman loving a straight man in a non-sexual way will pointlessly make you the target of hurtful, bizarre tongue-wagging, and I'm utterly suspicious of rumors of this kind for that reason, and if I can disprove them I can and have. I'm not trying to be mean to people for talking about it, only the people who bring it up like it's funny or sexy that two talented, interesting people ruined their very beautiful friendship, embarrassed their families, and are now in a great deal of pain. It's possible still that there's something else happening, but it looks pretty bad, and it makes me terribly anxious and sad to think about. When artists make you happy, you wish you could reflect it back to them in thanks, but you can't. You only hope they get out of whatever hole they've dug themselves into--life is too short.
