Malacca is the only place I have not been visited, since I left Singapore for good. I hope that in the near future I have a chance to discover this beautiful place.

Malacca, or Melaka in Malay always have a soft spot in my heart. I was born in a town some 50 or so miles north - a town called Seremban. I often visited Malacca when I was growing up and I adore the Nyona dishes. Malacca is quite unique in the sense that it's a historical town with many relics still left standing today - left behind from past European masters from the British who arrived in 1824 and the Dutch in 1641 right back to the 16th century with the arrival of the Portuguese in 1511. Fond of Malacca because my first sweetheart came from there!

Ahhh....this trip to Malacca bring back fond memories. It has been 20 years since I immigrated to Canada. All those kueh mueh is so wonderful I can just smell all that gula melaka. So thanks so much.
