Conan was always the go-to after show ritual when I played 4- 6 nights a week with my band (for 20+years). We appreciated how hard it is to do a show night after night for years and keep it fresh but every Late Night did it for us and we couldn't wait. Such a great band. I know some comedians love guitarists, love to play, can play well like Conan. I can play but I'd give anything to be as funny and cool as Conan O'Brien.

I played house gigs for 20 years with my bands. When it's over, it just isn't a happy time. You know that in x # of days you'll see the doorman, the bartender, the people who you see more than family, for the last time there again. There's no going back to a dream. You know you'll look back fondly, but you're already looking forward to looking back. I just hope Conan can see what he's meant to us all. As with Carson and Letterman, we have to let go too. The rest don't really matter. I hope Conan knows he's in that 3 man group.
