Oh, how nice it would have been to see her take down this world record after the series she had at Mare Nostrum...looks like we'll have to wait until Worlds now.

By the end of the week she'll have 2 more world records. I don't think she'll break her own 50 fly record simply because she really hasn't been that close in-season, although she will come really close to it. The 50 free and 100 fly WRs are in the bag for her, though. If she were American, she could add 3 more relay golds to her resume and finish the competition with 7 gold medals.

To think that she could drop something faster than a 51.7 100 free is just MIND BLOWING, but you're right. I think before the year's out she's going to bitch slap that 100 fly into submission lol. I really hope next year she goes back to swimming 200s. She's the perfect candidate to break both the 200 free & 200 fly WRs.

In my opinion Sarah Sjostrom is the most complete female swimmer in the world. Ledecky may be just barely faster, but Sjostrom is a threat in All styles of swimming 💯

Sarah has 4 WR in freestyle 50 & 100 butterfly 50 & 100 If she was American she could add 3 Gold in relays and reach 7 gold in one Olympics

Good one! I'm surprised I hadn't seen anybody pull that nickname before. It's been staring at us for quite some time now. lol I see no reason why she won't pop a 1:52 in the 200 free. I believe her previous 100 free best prior to this year was 52.62, and she's already more than a half a second faster than that. She was 1:54.08 with a 52.99 in Rio, so just do the math. She could very possibly crush it and even Ledecky isn't looking this good.

She will not swim the 200 free in Budapest. In fact, she hasn't swam this event in-season, so it makes sense. Anyway, she is in good shape indeed and it is likely that she will break the WRs in the other events mentioned.

Yeah she won't swim it at Worlds. But looks like she will do the 200 free at the Nationals. Who knows, we could be seeing a sub 1.54 there. It's a constant pick and choose but I think she's doing the wise choice by narrowing it down to four distances.
