SAw her in person once, Oscar Peterson had to cancel, she basically did two shows to make up for him....it was the BEST concert I've ever gone to in my life. She basically let us come right up to the stage and she took requests.....It was truly amazing what she did to make sure we had a great show.

From soprano to baritone with no effort whatsoever. She can sing anything and make it sound so melodious. I love her - she will always be the best!

From 2.20 in, this is a remarkable rendition of a song I have known my entire life, beginning as a lullaby sang by my mam in the 60s. An avowed Nina Simone fan, it is Sarah Vaughn's unsurpassed interpretation of this song which she owns. Unequalled excellence.

A strange combination of both embarassing with the early problems but then magically wonderful the way she overcame them to give a great performance.
