I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my 4th as well, hearing about how God took such good care of you in labour is so encouraging, I had a somewhat traumatic birth with my 3rd and have been very scared this time around. I have prayed so much about this upcoming birth and you have no idea how much it means hearing the reminder that God takes care of us, so thank you! ❤️

Omgosh I’m exactly the same, 30 weeks pregnant with my 4th. My last birth was also traumatic. I’ve been struggling with gestational diabetes since early in the pregnancy and I’m so tired of constant poking and testing. You are not alone! We’ve got this!

If it helps, my 4th birth was by far the easiest so far! We barely made it to the hospital, and once we got there, he just sort of fell out LOL. No doctor, and the triage nurse didn’t have her gloves on yet

i saw something on another birth vlog that I thought was really cool and would do if I was ever giving birth again (but those days are gone, lol). Anyhow, the mom wrote out prayers on some index cards (praise/petition and intercession/supplication/& thanksgiving) and while she was laboring, she had her husband praying them over her. It was really amazing. I love the scripture idea, too!

Sarah, I’m saying ‘hallelujah, praise the Lord’ with you. I just had baby nb 5 at home, like you I had very inconsistent contractions, so midwife left and we ended up delivering baby an hour later with Daddy only. God sustained us and watched over us. I’m so thankful! Blessings on your family! x

that was beautiful 🥲 a home birth is def the dream for me and like you said, it's a privilege to be able to birth a healthy baby. I love hearing positive home birth stories as every birth is different - which is something important to keep in mind. The birthing approach you have seems to be. a very intuitive approach and is something that I really admire and hope to implement when the time comes 🥰

I have 4 hour labor home births with two pushes, but man because it’s fast it is so raw! I get just a little nervous as I approach birth still, and it’s so nice to hear someone fresh out of it declare that God is good and that heck ya you would do it again! What a sweet little girl, Sarah! Congrats and thank you so much for sharing! I might just have to try those combs for my water birth this time around! Edit: and that’s just the tip of it! I haven’t even mentioned our house management and parenting styles!! But anyway, wanted to introduce myself and let you know there’s for sure one mama that gets a ton of encouragement from your videos!

The way Molly is calm seems to be the result of a calm mother through out the pregnancy and birth. You are such an inspiration ( no pregnancy for me in the near future but when it happens i will come back to learn from you). Congratulations to you and the family. And the other thing that stands out in your birth story is that when the contractions reduced you and the team remained calm and let your body do what it needed to do, i feel like in the hospital they would have gave you some medication to "get done with it". No shame to hospitals but i think they are impatient with our bodies. God bless and keep you may his face shine upon you and your family.

I had water option as I didn’t know if I’d like it but in the end, loved it and used it for home birth. The midwife will care for baby and placenta really depends what you want to do. Plant them/throw them/some even turn into pills for consumption ☺️

My baby is 7 months now, I had a water birth at a birth center. For me after my baby was born I held her for a couple minutes in the water and then my husband held her and my midwife helped me out of the tub into the bed where I had my baby laying on my chest and starting to breastfeed while we waited for the placenta to deliver. Afterwards I was able to get comfy and just lay with my baby for about an hour until my midwife did the weight/ height/ etc. I had a hospital birth with my first and really preferred the water birth!

Such a beautiful baby. I was relieved when I saw her moving halfway the video 🤣. I can't believe how calm she sleeps while you were showing her. Unbelieveble. I gave birth at home twice. That is so beautiful! I was so afraid that I would call the midwife too early and that she would say:" I'm leaving again because you only have 5 cm". When I did call I had already 10 cm's. So twice my husband had to grap as quick as possible water and towels 🤣🤣 and he had to help deliver the baby's. Normally a second person is going to help the midwife, but because of the fact that the baby's were already coming that person arrived too late.

When I was labouring with my first baby, the hot shower was really REALLY helpful! The pressure of the water hitting on my lower back felt great and helped a lot through contractions 😊 I didn’t have a tub as an option either, but the shower was maybe better!

It’s actually not a blanket policy in BC, it depends on the hospital! BC Women’s Hospital does allow water births, but I believe some hospitals require you to get out of the tub before you start pushing.

Beautiful story! I am just so curious about the after birth experience. I have not heard many people talk about what happens right after with the placenta and everything.
