Hear me out, the house was originally just a studio space where people could rent rooms to do their hobbies in, which is why so many of the rooms are being used on hobbies. Even the bathrooms were converted to rentable rooms to maximize income. But then, the owner of the space met three orphans and took pity on them so she allowed them to live in two of the rooms rent-free, which is why there's two kids bedrooms. The owner also makes additional income by doing people's laundry, hence the laundry room, and the sauna is also available for people to use if they pay, but since it's on the second floor and the gardener didn't want people walking through her greenhouse to get to the sauna, they have to climb in through the windows instead. There are two water heaters and electrical boxes since it's a commercial property and uses more power/water as well? But since the rest of the house is definitely not up to code for a commercial property (no elevator, having to climb trellises, no bathroom, etc) the owner bribed the building inspector (whose wife doesn't allow him to play video games because she's crunchy) with a gaming/movie room that he can use whenever, which is why there's a gaming room. IDK man it was hard to come up with a backstory for this one lol. Also: Peace sign emoji

I feel like the two children and teen that live there designed that house. Maybe when they were a child and two toddlers they won some kind of competition and got to design a house that would get built and given to them when they were old enough to live there, and the people that ran the competition fully expected their parents to chip in and at least make the floor plan and room assignments legible and understandable, but their parents didn't believe in "ruining their babies artistic freedom" and have thus ended up with a nonsense house that they're stuck with because no-one wants to buy it from them.

the 'pantry/mini-second kitchen' is just a butler kitchen, aka: a pantry, with a sink, attached to the kitchen. they also usually have toasters or mini ovens, etc - so you're completely and 100% fine in having this pantry 'operate like a kitchen', cause butler kitchens act as and look like pantry's (for those that are well off), so yeah

to fix the problem with wanting more options but also trying to get the essentials is to add more wheels. like the first wheel you spin has bedroom, hobby, entrance room, etc. Then, for instance, you land on bedroom and now you spin the bedroom wheel that has child, adult, teen, and toddler. this determines what kind of bedroom you get. this will let you add tons of options but also having a house not turn into a hobby house lol. Hope this helps :)

i would argue that mud room and entry way are not interchangeable. mud room is like what u don’t want ur guests to see, usually it’s with laundry, dirty shoes, a lil messy and mostly used for storage (hence the big hutches and shelves they usually have) and an entry way usually just has an accent table, maybe a place to put keys and purse/light jackets, MAYBE a shoe rack. but it’s mostly meant to be pretty and for your guests to see coming in the front door while a mud room would be more appropriate for the entrance from a garage or back yard, ya feel me?

I made a new challenge recently and would love to see you do it. You spin wheels, one for the type of room and one to give you an expansion pack/game pack/stuff pack/kit. You can only use the 4 packs and base game per room, no repeats per floor (or no repeats at all if you have unlimited packs). You can move the rooms around and make a jigsaw out of it, outside is done last. You have to spin until you have at least 2 bedrooms, one child/toddler/baby room, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a living area and a dining room. I’d love to see how you make it work!

I had a video idea that I think might be chaotic enough for you: Every Room is a Different Colour, but You Try Not to Use That Colour. Let me explain: you know how the sims 4 filters suck sometimes and you'll select one specific colour and an item will be tagged by that colour and you're like "ea, babe, what are we doing here, this clearly isn't this colour?" Well what if you do the every room is a different colour challenge, but you have to use as many of the weirdly tagged items (or just multi-coloured items) as possible and get the room as far from the generated colour as you can? I think it would be so fun!

Another one that I love, and is really fun to do, (I don’t know if you’ve done it before,) is the every room I’d a different random size and room! So the way I’m doing it is I have a wheel with all the rooms I want to do, and I spin that to which room I’m doing. Then I have the number randomizer with the minimum set to 2, and the max I think at 7. Then you randomize twice to see the dimensions, and it’s different every time! It is suuuuuuch a fun challenge, and it’s one that you can do over and over because the results can be so different each time!

You could make a few ”skill building room” on the main wheel and then have a second wheel for the skills or ”special rooms” or what you would call them, and if the real house have 2 bathrooms you could make two bathroom sections on the main wheel, then maybe the house would be more functional but still crazy 😃
