Hi guys! I haven't shot a 1 hour video in a while - they're a lot of work surprisingly haha, so I hope it helps you guys relax and fall asleep. This was one of those rare videos where I actually gave myself tingles while editing it LOL

I was listening, trying to fall asleep, but when you mentioned the Mexican healer, I had to pick up my phone, rewind and watch/listen to the story lol. I’m Hispanic, from south Texas. About an hour from Mexico.. I think it’s so cool that you’re living in Mexico. I don’t think it’s weird at all, but I guess because I grew up around all that stuff. I don’t necessarily believe in all that the way the old timers do, but I do believe in the placebo effect, and if it lifts your mood and makes you feel better, then it’s all good. I can only imagine how cute the little old lady was. Lol. Cool story.

I can definitely agree with the fear of ruining passion by turning your hobby into a job. I love drawing digitally and sometimes do commission work, but I also study software development which will hopefully be a stable source of income.

Re: animating for Disney/ Pixar you probably made a good choice. My fiencees brother went that route. Best art school in the country, graduated a few years ago, and he’s working tirelessly through animation jobs he doesn’t care about constantly trying to get an application in or meet the right person or find the right angle to get into Pixar. It is not at all easy. Then the jobs he does have in the meantime mostly are very long hours then you get fired when the product is released and they don’t need you. He currently managed to get a job at a major gaming company that you would have heard of which is steady, but he needs to leave game animation ASAP or he will get siloed in that realm for his career. It’s a tough career overall given the best of luck and hard work.

Not to be that guy that leave a weird comment but you used to be a mechanical engineer?! You’re really a beauty with brains haha! I really resonated with the art school story that you gave. I always wanted to go to drama school but I opted to stick out with business school in hopes that I can go to drama school after I have a backup degree. I hate that the most creative and rewarding fields have a million hurdles just to get to a place where you can earn great money while doing what you love. It’s really inspiring to see you making ASMR content and finding a creative pathway you love in life. Keep up the amazing content, Sarah! 3D animation courses are usually more technically-oriented and not so much related to art school. But it's true what you say about teachers and other people scarying students away from arts. In truth they're not really lying. It's difficult to get a proper or stable job in those areas. Even design, etc. The one exception being architecture.
