I have the same issue with Prada candy, but I’ve been layering it with Oil Perfumery Prada candy oil, and omg it’s such a game changer! It makes the fragrance last so long, and smell even sweeter and more decadent! The oil is so affordable too, it’s fantastic! 🍬

Its pronounced dool-say de leche :) I love caramel notes! I am a gourmand lover! Thx for this video! I have the same frustration you have with my Brazilian Bum Bum original scent spray as well as the newer Cheirosa one! They smell delicious but fade within 10 or so minutes! Ugh. Pink Sugar has been in my collection for years and anytime I wore it I got complimented. I smell cotton candy more than caramel though.

Two of my favorite caramel perfumes happen to be Indies. Solstice Scents Owl Creek Aleworks and Wylde Ivy Caramel Darling. Both delicious!!

HI SARAH, I think my favorite caramel scent is 🧡Midnight Amber Glow from Bath & Body Works.🧡 It's more Amber than caramel. I own it in body spray and I get long lasting stay. I love Sol de Janeiro in small doses It's right on the cusp of too saccharin sweet for me. A caramel perfume I wish I owned is Unknown Pleasures.🤩

Thank you so much for filming this video per my request, dear Sarah! :) I definitely have to test Dalal & Vanilla Woods. I really wanted Private Show to work for me, but as many Britney fragrances, it had a soapy feel about it, same with Fancy and Gold Cotoure. Candy I get, but it's not quite what I am looking for. Italica is definitely one of those too edible smelling caramels. I also prefer a perfumy, airy caramel. My personal faves in my caramel journey so far are R.E.M. & Good Girl Légère. Yes I Am is also nice. Looking forward to part 2! :)

Interesting to hear your take on different batches. I tried Bubble Bath in store and it was amazing…sweet and soapy. Ordered a bottle and it was sharp and smells like cleaning fluid. Huge bummer.

I have to agree with you about Dalal being a great caramel and a bargain to boot. Tip: When you get a bottle, spray in the air first to clear the nozzle before you spray on yourself.

There are usually 2 reasons why you can find differences in performance: Different batches Testers have been sitting out for a longer time which causes reactions within the ingredients. Mainly with perfumes that contain Vanilla, caramel, praline, rum and Tonka. I'm sure there are other reasons but when working in retail that's what I learnt over the years and what they taught us in Harrods

I love L de Lolita! It came out 5 years before Lira and out performs her in every way. I have FB of both. Another one that is similar but with vetiver is midnight silhouette.

I love vanilla woods! It's one of my go to perfumes. Have you smelled Kyse Douceur Brulee and Alkemia Silken Tent? Those are two really great caramel perfumes that come to mind. Silken Tent actually has that "perfumey caramel" thing going on.

I love Be Layered's Sweet Caroline. It's a beautiful caramel note that shines. I have tried so many DUA and just can't get it right. I decluttered all but three (travel sprays) and I wouldn't repurchase those. The Madagascar vanilla is pure pineapple. Made me super sad. The Jessica Simpson link leads to Juicy Noir. I'm interested in the batch # too! Thank you for teaching us novice fragrance lovers about this!

To add to your "Fancy" commentary...I bought a full size 2 years ago and hated it. I'd have to layer it with Bath&Body Works Vanilla/gourmand scents to get any caramel/vanilla goodnes....until !!!!- it aged. Just recently as the juice is at its near end...it smells incredible. Very carmel, nutty, vanilla gourmand. The juice is even darker in the bottle now. So I'm thinking it smells best-older🤔 Thoughts????

That is probably it! It probably just needs to be an older bottle that has had time to age. I will have to the purchase a big bottle and put it away for a year. ❤️

Thank you for the video! Very interesting, informative and personal - as always. The strange thing with myself and my way of enjoying perfumes is that I absolutely love the smell of sweet, dense caramel scents- but I don’t enjoy wearing them! I only want to sniff them 😂 Personally I wear rather unisex, dry, spicy and green perfumes 9 days out of 10. Even though I have never commented on that on your channel… since I’ve noticed that you are (mostly)all about that sweet, dark, sugary stuff ❤ again, don’t get me wrong: I love it… thick, syrupy flowery lava, that’s gorgeous… on others.😉blessings

I had a sample of the Skylar Vanilla sky eau de parfum and it lasted a while, then I bought the eau de toilette on Mercari and definitely noticed a slight scent profile difference and definitely a performance issue. I need to try an actual eau de parfum bottle.

I second that! :) Great cardamom & caramel fragrances are Penhaligon's Changing Constance and Minuit et Demi by Fragrance Dubois. Both pretty pricey though. :/

Pink Sugar is like my literal nightmare in a perfume. I am not a fan of cupcake, sugary pastry scents without anything to balance it out. I don't understand how people can wear them. 🙃 To each their own! The most "Gourmand" perfume I've liked is Pilar and Lucy's Exact Friction of Stars which I got a sample of and it surprised me. It's a wearable gourmand for me.

The Skylars performance is so unfortunate. Yes-- too expensive for something that performs like air. I have a small bottle of Good Girl Légère that my boyfriend bought me for my bday because it was, I quote him, "the best thing he ever smelled". I kept my bottle around to wear around him BUT for the last three months I'm really getting into it. I'm wearing it right now. The Dulce de leche in the base is transporting me to a world of sweet heaven.

So I have a full bottle of L and I have the same experience where it smells off when initially sprayed but dry down is a nice warm cinnamon vanilla caramel scent. I've read this from a few ppl who own this fragrance so I think it may just be the way its made

Hi there! They are usually on the bottom of the bottle or etched in the glass. Sometimes sellers take pics of the bottoms so you can see them or sometimes you can message and ask for the batch code. ❤️
