I am really, REALLY, happy you enjoyed the framed MR2 advertising! ♥️ It was created with the idea of making you smile and probably the package arrived in the right moment, considering the unlucky weekend events with the TT 😣 You spent a lot of time and money on that car, so you can't give up now, you know right? Take your time, do your research, curse if necessary, but continue the job: I wanna see that fucking car hitting the road again with you in the driver seat 😉💪🏻🛠️

Arizonian here Sarah as well; 1 year ago I got a 00 TT and that car didn't saw much love in its life. But my 5 year old daughter loved when I took her to school on the "green avocado" as she calls it and my 3 yo twins enjoyed any trip on it. Your videos on Tater Tots keeps us motivated to also fix our avocado wich has been parked right now because it needs an exhaust manifold gasket. Also you are an awesome influenze on my girls that now they want to help me whenever Im working at any project at home kudos to you for that chica, keep the videos on Tater Tots flowing and very happy that you wont give up on it.

And now, you discovered the flywheel bolts are loose , a couple of the crankshaft bolt holes needed to be helicoiled, more cleaning, resprayed the TT , new Borla exhaust, front and rear sway bars , hours of cleaning all the wax spray rust protection off the chassis and floor panels, it’s gonna be awesome!! And some lucky viewer will buy some Merchandise and then win you TT! Fantastic! Bet you were not thinking that when you posted this! Keep up with your great content! Thanks!!

Fantic1980, Teeter Tot is cool BUT, for true masochism, get an A4, 3.0 V6, Quattro! Audi’s as a whole are hair pulling money pits. But me having owned 7 Bimmers and 2 Mercs I figured I was up for an 02, A4 3.0 Quattro? NYET! I am too stubborn to let that car get the best of me! I have the answer, a massive amount of Bailey.s Irish Cream, warshteiner dark beer and the half gallon size of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey whiskey. I’ll win!

Keep going Sarah, you'll get there! Just replaced the clutch on my 225 TT project. Just over 18 hours including time to clean everything and of course replace the engine rear oil seal and the transmission input shaft seal. None if it was particularly difficult, it's just that there are a lot of parts to come off before dropping the transmission.

I had the clutch go out after I bought my Tiburon V6 project car from a friend but before I even got a chance to take it home (they broke it...😜). Bought an engine hoist and did it right there in the farm yard by myself over a weekend hours from home shop. These projects are a labor of love and you got this! Sarah, I bought a 05 Jetta GLI MK4 about 2 years ago when we lived in Tucson, it had a ton of issues. The MK4 Jetta is very similar to the TT. This was around the same time we found your KZbin channel. Your channel was inspirational when I wanted to push my Jetta off of Mount Lemmon, weekly... We are rooting for you and the TT !!!

I've had a 6-sp 2001 225HP Quattro TT for ... 18 years now. got about 150K miles as my daily driver, and honestly, no major service required (other than timing belt, fluid changes, brakes, tires). It even managed to take me through a blizzard on icy roads in Oregon for hundreds of miles, while being only moderately scary :).

Hey Sarah, I got my TT back together only to find the temp and fuel gauges are cooked - and not just the motors, its the chip that controls them. These TT's fight you every step of the way, but stay strong, go work on something fun then come back to the TT. Getting the engine and gearbox out is not that difficult, the whole front end comes off so you can drop the engine onto a pallet or trolley and pull it out - you don't have to take it out the top. I've seen plenty of people do it on their own, just be methodical and take the time you need. Go Sarah !

Had a 2002 VW Beetle turbo with way to much to list. 480 hp on nitrous to the front wheels, was always breaking motor mounts, and blew 2 diffs totally destroying the transmission case each time. Fun times, until it got stolen back in 07. Current project is an Acura TSX. I know I'm late to the game but keep it up, don't give up. Loving the channel.

For the 32 people that have already, and countless more that will, this is not a throwout bearing noise. They will generally present exactly opposite of Sarah's issue. Throwout bearing is engaged to, and spinning on, the pressure plate when the clutch is disengaged (pedal down) and just along for the ride with the clutch out. If a throwout bearing is making noise with the clutch engaged (pedal up fully) then it's already separated, and will make far more noise with it spinning on a disengaged (pedal down) clutch.

Use weld slag to keep the IC piping together. Basically, just put a spot weld in 3-4 spots on the edge of both side of each tube where the couplers and clamps are. That will give the couplers something to "bite into" under boost. I did that on my Cobra and it was good to 30 psi. :)

Sarah, you are inspiring with your perseverance and ingenuity when working on cars. I wish I had your videos as reference when I started wrenching. So many projects could have been saved. When you get down, just remember all of lives you have impacted especially the young ones that are inspired to pick up a wrench and follow in your footsteps. On another note, I really like how your videos flow. Most jumpcuts are discordant but yours flow smoothly. The effort you put into making your videos shows. High class indeed with a great sense of humor.

I dont think the TT doesnt love you, i think it loves you to much, it knows deep in your heart you want to keep it, so it is making you put on all the parts you would when you have your ideal TT, stay positive, you have to be getting close to having everything fixed.

I am sure it's been mentioned but the DMF has a tendency to have a higher failure rate, just be glad it did not explode. When replacing mine on a VW golf it was recommended to move to a SMF and step it up a notch. I am actually not surprised it failed on the TT with all your improvements in performance you done. I know you've struggle with this car but its come along ways and you've done a great job!!!

First again!!! Wow, this is either stellar timing that I just happen to be sitting at the computer, or I have absolutely no life... Starting to think it's the latter of the two... 😂 Sarah, keep your head up & stay positive, and good things will happen.

I have a 2006 Audi TT mark 1. Here in the UK and yes to change the front bulb you have to take off the whole front of the car ..crazy. (near side) I've changed the other bulb without having to do that on the offside. Great car although mine's only the 180hp single exhaust.

For the license plate mount, take a 1x2 and mount it to the wall at the studs, then screw the license plates to the 1x2’s. Less holes in the dry wall and the screws won’t pull out of the 1x2.

remember to make sure you have charge pipe couplers very clean. Both the pipe and coupler have to have no oil on mating surfaces or they can slip off even when clamped hard. Especially higher pressure like 26psi on my turbo 5 quattro. I recommend a steel single mass flywheel conversion. I really like California Clutch, mine was custom for my S6 with a single mass FW

Had a 2005 Series I Quattro cabriolet. Drove it 156,000 miles. Sometimes I wish I still had it😞. Just about everything on that car was hard to work on. Loved that car. Now have a 2018 TTRS. I like it too it has manumatic trany and isn’t a convertible but it is a better car and has LOTS of power and an extended warranty...

Hey Sarah, I feel your pain. I just spent months rebuilding the front suspension, complete cooling system and timing components on My A4 SLine Ultra Sport Only to find it had blown head gasket/cracked head/worse..? Anyway, don't get down & don't give up. The TT will rise again. I have faith and you have guts. Hope to see you on the road sometime.
