Next time you wear the Ilia, use the foundation from the outside of the dropper and return it “clean” to the bottle and take it out again to have an idea of how far down it is. Ideally you wont have shaken it before use 😅

Expiration dates are for the end of the month, yes. Legally if a product expires mid-month, the date has to be indicated for the exact date.

Dedicated project pans aren't my thing. This year I've made a goal to use each item in my collection a set amount of times, so that no item gets forgotten. On top, similar to you, a list of things that require some extra attention. Like another person said, the pink looks great on you!
@GillenMeg9 ай бұрын
I decided to have a list of makeup I want to use up this year instead of such a dedicated project pan, too! I only have a few eyeliners, but I forget about them so easily 😅so I'm definitely making it a goal to use them as much as I can this year. I also want to rotate through all of my oldest lipsticks and blushes to make sure I'm not neglecting any of them.

That navy blue eyeliner could pair really nicely with a neutral brown eye too I think. kinda want to try the look myself lol

My ILIA skin tint went rancid after 6 months, you'll know when it goes off! The smell was really intense. I loved it but wouldn't buy again due to short shelf life.

I’m on a no buy year this year, the plan is definitely to focus more on project panning, I’m doing the 24 in 2024 and I’m focus on rotating my makeup in my weekly shop my stash . I love the makeup your wearing today Sarah

I panned my norvina last year and I only have 4 shades that I didn’t finish. Passion, drama, eccentric, and soul. Those colors really don’t go with the others. I depotted them.

I'm back at it project panning this year, and already having fun with it! 😊 I definitely do my projects very differently than a lot of people though, in order to keep it fresh and fun - a lot of short term themed projects, and I rotate most of the items monthly, so it's kind of a shop my stash with usage goals. I don't go through products quickly, and I love a theme, so this definitely works way better for me! 🌻

I really love a relaxed project pan. I focus on using up items that I want to get out of my collection but I’ll swap things out when I’m bored or missing other projects. I’m glad to see a “project” from you, happy to see that you are doing something that works for you.

I am terrible at dedicated project pans and like to rotate. This year I’m doing a no pan left behind to rotate through all my shadows (using each one once) and then moving on and then having 3-4 lipsticks in rotation and then when I hit 10 uses pulling another to keep rotating. 20 uses on my powder products and then rotating through those as well, but if I fall in love with a product not feeling like I have to move on quickly and having the flexibility to use it as long as I want before rotating it out. It gives me the ability to get to know my collection but find new favorites!

I've been chipping away at the same Tower 28 blush since 2020. Oddly, it's not going bad yet, despite my fears that it might. But it sure is an everlasting product!

After project panning for 3 years I finally finished all my oldest complexion makeup and only have what I’m using currently. I still have a lot of cheek and lip products but I’m rotating them after 10 uses in order to not get bored of using the same product. I still prioritise more the cream products but I don’t over focus anymore

So, I recently went through all my blushes and highlights to compare sizes and I was so surprised! My smallest blush is actually Milani luminoso, which is 3.5 grams and an entire gram smaller then the tower 28 ones!

I ran into a similar thing that you’re talking about with your LA Colors concealer with my CT contour wand, where there’s a huge air bubble but if you try to get it out you’ll squish out the product. I stored my contour wand in a cup with the applicator side up to allow the air huddle to move to the top of the packaging, then I was able to squeeze the air out until I hit product. Might be worth a try for you?

I’m working on my elf putty primer, the shimmery version. It’s slow going so I wanna try it on days when I don’t wear makeup. Maybe mix with a shimmery lotion in the summer? I dunno lol.

I project pan the best capsule makeup bag style! It’s interesting seeing what works best for me. Unfortunately for me, it’s one product per category at a time and I don’t want to change anything up lol. Decision fatigue is real! I’m glad I now know I only like one option at a time…too bad I learned it many many MANY blush purchases later

I also want to hit more pans in my stash as well as use up a couple of eyeshadows. I finished one from my pan that quad and I have another 2 I want to work through. For bronzer and blush the goal is to have as many pans as I can. I made a big list of 25 items including a face palette I want to hopefully finish and then partners in cream has things I worked on from last year, perfume and more neglected items so overall just hoping to have a fun but focused year. I am still panning but trying to really enjoy it with less pressure.

Yes i am doing a project 10 rolling style, I'm excited. You'll always have a panning mind set because it is literally exciting to see things you buy get used up. I'm on a no buy and finding out that it is okay to want new things, but i have so much i can pretty much go within my collection and shop. I'm excited to see what you use up organically.

I’m not doing a project pan but I don’t know if I will use anything up naturally 😂 I have been trying to reach for my tower28 gloss more because I hear they expire more quickly but I am bad at reapplying I think what I want to do instead is “no pan left behind” my collection which is just make sure I use every single eyeshadow shade I own In the past I’d just try to use every palette at least once but not every pan! So I think that would be smart

I would honestly throw out the Ilia when it expires - if it were something else I'd probably be right where you are at and use it anyways but when a sunscreen expires, it can actually increase your risk of sunburn, skin cancer, etc. Obviously I'm sure you're not using it as a standalone sunscreen, but I would worry that it could still allow for skin damage or splotchy UV coverage.
