Just bought this deck yesterday in a cute book loft. Its my first deck. Haven't opened it yet as I want to understand it first. Not sure why it chose me as I am a beginner and only recently opened my eyes to this world. Studying Rider Waite Smith deck online first before unboxing. Any advice to a newbie please?

My advice would be to continue learning with the Rider Waite, as once you've mastered that deck you'll be comfortable with others. Take your time and try to read intuitively (without the book) as much as possible. The affirmations on the Angel Tarot will be useful as well and will give you a different angle on the tarot. Also the cards at the end were perfect for me tonight. Watched this video after reconciling an argument with my boyfriend. 4 of swords/hierophant were both so relevant and provided some nice clarity. The book’s description of the hierophant made me like that archetype more

You can prepare your decks with sage or by holding the cards and asking Spirit or the Angel's to bless and protect the deck. I would highly recommend the Rider Waite deck, as once it is mastered it sets the tone for many other decks with similar symboligy 🌻💖
