I let go of all the people pleasing and one sided relationships and they all disappeared once I spoke that I want quality connections that don’t involve me solving others problems, being used as an emotional dumping ground or those who are never there for me. Yesterday, I had an appointment to have my the fire safety checked in my apartment. I wore my new, pretty clothes and he said "oh, you look nice" and I didn't expect that. I immediately started to explain myself and I ended up saying "you know, it's Friday, so it's ALLOWED to dress up, isn't it?" I regretted saying that but I am just smiling thinking about the conformity of my country, Norway. It's one thing to be different, like a goth, a punk or a hippie which I have all tried out without much shame. At some point I wore all the colors at once and I didn't mind... Of course, I am older too. But dressing up NICE is so rare, in everyday life here. Nice and maybe a bit different, but not that flashy either. Not expensive. It's about feeling beautiful, powerful, a goddess, about me feeling good. For me. And realizing wow... It really is challenging to stand out, not only with fashion, but also what it represents to me: Being a powerful, visible woman who's proud of herself, despite not meeting the standards of appearance. And also, going against most of my family too, when I finally have the courage to shine my weird light.

I couldn’t help but laugh with you. It felt like the laugh of relief moving me into acceptance of a new existence. I spent my whole life wanting to just be normal and trying the path of normalcy, but it just doesn’t and never will fit. I am finally giving myself to the weirdness and the oddities of not only my life, but the life around me. Authenticity is why I came. This is the life I just wanted to show up as my true self. This chat speaks to my recent ponderings about unmasking and what it would feel like to just be me without the criticism of those around me. It really means learning to not care about what those around me think, which is hard and feels unsafe, and that requires delving deeper into trauma healing. Shedding myself of shame for my constant verbal stumbling, auditory struggles, not getting social cues right, allowing myself to openly stim, not forcing production, etc. Maybe that means putting some distance between myself and those who want me to fit into the cookie cutter. Intuitively, that feels like the best place to start. 💚

Thank you Sarah for this positive message. I listen to multiple astrologers and tarot readers. They all said the Aug 19 was going to be pretty radical and life changing for the world, and most of them at least intimated it would be malevolent. There is no room for preparing ourselves for negativity if we believe in love. Looking at it today, on the 21st, I'm realizing that negativity sells and it's a bit unsettling that people in the business of 'helping' are often not helping and in the worst case making it just plain frightening. For the love of me I couldn't fall asleep tonight. I rarely struggle with that so after tossing and turning with a headache for several hours, I decided to google the potential reason. And of course there is a full moon and it explains it to a T. My birthday is coming up in a couple of days (Virgo sun, Aqua moon, Leo rising) and man has this Mercury retrograde been rough so far!
