Doing some mic shopping for company, great video....really shows what we're getting. And you got all dressed up for the video too...great work!

It was very helpful, I'm in the market for a new mic for my new DSLR this 2022 holiday season, I saw the review link to this on the BnH product page for this mic, Great video, Great review, Thank you so much

Nice video/testing, sounds great, especially compared to some of the other cheap equipment available. Thanks for helping me make a decision.

I just saw your review on B&H. 😁👍They put it on sale today and I needed to hear how it sounded. Sounds very clear and pleasant compared to the Rockville headset mic my pastor uses, which I've been wanting to replace with a Sennheiser for years but he refuses, ha-ha. This sounds good for his voice type. I like it, especially for the sale price.

very helpful. There is so little distortion - it is so difficult to pick up. So very nice for voice usage!

I see it's on sale at B&H. It's worth it! Go for it! I've done several videos with this system now, including my "Windows 11 Must Be Stopped: THE SEQUEL" one.

Works great but don't know the battery life. I replaced them after months of short uses.

Sound's really really good bro! My Saramonic Blink kit just died (mistake of mine, gonna send it to repair) So i need a new kit ASAP. Just saw these and for the money seems like im gonna have nice microphones not even as backup, as main audio source in some cases!

I'm glad this helped you! I got them on a sale but I'd be willing to get them for more now that I've tried them out. I'm surprised no one else has posted any demos yet.

Jody, this cheap system sounds very good, the highs are nice and crisp! How good is the battery life? How far away can you walk before the sound breaks up?
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
I have never walked far enough to find out. The batteries last several hours at least. I haven't run such tests so I don't know, but I have never once had a problem other than running out of battery and not paying attention to the level meters telling me that no sound was coming in.

@@JodyBruchon Jody is it possible you can do an update, but this time testing this system so we can hear how it sounds the way it's intended to be used with two people? This way we can hear if there's any issues with audio pre echoing and any acoustic bleeding or delay in sound. This will be a true test, please get someone to stand at several distances from you while having a conversation. If this comes out without any issues, I will be sold. Thanks man.

@@TheShabazzProduction I'm one person. I don't have two people. I can tell you that the microphone doesn't pick up if it's not basically in the right spot. I've hung it around my neck for convenience before and I hear every time it swings away. I would be quite surprised if the mic picked up another person even just a few feet away.
@TheShabazzProduction2 жыл бұрын
@@JodyBruchon Jody I think you are missing the point that this system is designed to pick up the sound of two individuals talking, not one person. If you can get a friend to stand next to you and you both have a talk about something, this will be the true test. The system is a Dual Wireless System.
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
I think you missed the point that I'm one person and I don't have friends that I can just pull in randomly for whatever you're asking. I'm not selling this product. I don't care if you buy it or not. It comes with two mics and the two mics work as two mics. If you mic up two people, they will mix into one audio stream at the receiver and there will be negligible crosstalk between mics. I'm not putting any more effort into this. I bought the system and tried to help people hear what the mics sounded like, but I'm not obligated to do a full review.

Very reliable test. The good thing: it has a big distance range with no signal lost. The bad is that it has no lower frequency response at all. For speaking and make words understandable is just ok.
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
Lavalier mics are designed to have greatly exaggerated high-frequency response when compared to other mics. They go right near your vocal cords and usually are pressed up against or near your skin. If they were designed like a normal mic, they'd pick up a ton of bass and be almost unusable.
@rodrigobelinchon29822 жыл бұрын
sounds really good, the thing is I've heard it has 62 ms latency, do you notice if your lips are perfectly synced to the sound ? Thank you
@JodyBruchon2 жыл бұрын
I did not resync the audio on this clip. It's a straight upload of raw footage with the receiver plugged into the mic jack. 62 ms is about 2 frames at 30 fps or 4 frames at 60, so such a delay will be noticeable in this video. Hit ? in desktop KZbin for the frame step commands and such!
@rodrigobelinchon29822 жыл бұрын
@@JodyBruchon hmmm, after reading your comment and rewatching, I've noticed that at 3:32 you "clap your hips" and it looks perfectly synced to me . I think I will order the system , I like the idea of putting my own batteries so I have not to rely on crappy internal chinese batteries. And the sound is stellar, like what you can hear on tv. Thanks man !

how is this pack on batteries...i have the older black kit and it seems to eat through batteries very fast. Also had issue when shooting in a junk yard, the signal kept botching out on me and had to rescan several times to lock on a channel that worked for a little bit anyway.
@JodyBruchon Жыл бұрын
I only ran out of juice once and it was after many hours. The frequencies used by many mics will be reflected by metals so a junkyard presents plenty of barriers to the signal.

@@JodyBruchon good to know, yeahhh what I figured with a lot of metal and electric fence nearby..oh and airport! thanks for the tip!
