Bought it new in 84 a few days after recovering from seeing SRV at a club in Sarasota. Dunlop JUMBOS - yeah Peanut Gallery!

The Equizzi brothers were from Canfield Ohio and I was from the suburbs of Pittsburgh maybe 50 miles away, so I fell into the peanut gallery after my parents moved to tampa in that window of time.....being a young man and in my discovery of the blues......that place and you all that were a part of all that, in that time, really shaped me & my direction in blues guitar. Being ringside and being able to observe and soak it all in and chat....the whole atmosphere was phenomenal and quite the experience of a life time...in retrospect.**********I saw SRV stevie at Mr. "T's" Club 19 that same tour when Texas Flood broke and still have my T shirt from the show that stevie was wearing. Can't say without looking it up if it was a day before or a day after you saw him then. But I have a memory that comes to me now that I ran into you in the audience but I can't recall if it was at that show or if it was at a Johnny Winter show at the London Victory Club. I can remember meeting Jimmy V when the Tbirds played the Peanut Gallery......all the individuals I had met through there......when I a young man hahahaha. And WMNF was a great radio station.....and your Clam Bayou Blues Bash. Are you still influential in the bay area blues festivals ? After I returned back to my home in Pittsburgh to go to school, I was able to connect with stevie when he was on the tour with jimmy......I got to play that white Charlie guitar he had with the lipsticks & talk with him & hang a bit at sound check prior to their show here......great memory & experience & a carry over from florida times. ******************I was looking up some Eddie Kirkland stuff on youtube as I recently got Fios net service & thus high speed......I didn't realize that you played with him on the final show the night before the crash......saw the pictures of the club posted. I connected with Eddie when he passed through this area on back in the 1990's and I bought him breakfast after the show and had a great talk.....and the road stories hahahaha but as always,he wanted to sleep in his van.....didn't have his customary station wagon at the time.**************Still got that brown Fender Concert and that outboard Fender Reverb unit from the peanut gallery days ? Didn't you also run a Super reverb too if my memory serves me ? When I got back home to Pittsburgh, I bought a silver face Fender twin reverb as my first official amplifier.....which started the quest. You put me on to the, as you put it in a conversation we had at the nut gallery, the holy grail of the Fender Tweed Bassman 4x10. So I started my quest and started researching and building amplifiers.....and built my first tweed bassman head before the clone wars started in the 1980's. I had to rip that sf twin apart and rebuild it once I figured it all out.....how to make it sound as it should.....that thing of making a tube amp sound like a tube amp that was lost in those sf amps and what made the tweed bassman and the 50's tweeds rule. It was always interesting during my time in the bay area to see what old artifact you'd come up with & bring to the peanut gallery.

Did you know bob greenlee ? He had kingsnake studios up in Sanford. Lucky Peterson did some recording up at his studio.....he was tied in with alligator records. A couple guys from Pittsburgh were working for him as the studio band.....the midnight creepers. Another guy from Pittsburgh sent them down to greenlee, if you know bryan basset....he was playing around and ended up playing with molly hatchet and foghat….and still runs with foghat. Basset was recently here in Pittsburgh for an outside show with foghat and we had a conversation and I mentioned your name.....says he's heard of you but hasn't seen you play...that he could recall. Of all the misc. conversations back in the day in tampa at the peanut gallery, and concerning eddie kirkland......I didn't know back then that he played with hooker and that foghat was into eddie. SO now I have the youtube & fios….I found the foghat concert in nyc with eddie kirkland and johnny winter as guest players...….and basset and foghat recorded Kirkland up at their deland club house. Kind of example of the degrees of separation......

@@mikecamps7226 yes I met all those people. I went to Kingsnake a few times with Lucky and I played a rhythm track on one of James Peterson's songs he recorded there. Hope you can come see the current band some time.
