This was a helpful presentation for my purposes, which was to understand what the basic idea is behind MBSE. Because I have experience with databases and with computer-aided design, where, for example, an isometric drawing or a general arrangement drawing, might be extracted from a 3D model in the computer, and with building information models (BIM), the presentation made sense.

Well…the real problem of mbse is that building a model is really time consuming. Even making them “good looking” for the audience requires huge effort. It’s a matter of efficiency, after trying to adopt mbse in my company several times, I still don’t know if it is a win or not

We agree that MBSE has to be a win for the company adopting it. Time consuming model building is not where the win is. The win is gaining insight by integrating across model and data elements, starting where low effort yields high value.
