Wow, I use to live here in the late 60's. I think I was about 5 or 6. Life was not like this then. Little kids could play outside without fear of their own.

Yes it was. One of my fondest memories is during the summer the fire trucks would come by and open the fire hydrants so the kids could play in the water when it was really hot. My aunt use to live right around the corner and at that time you could see the construction of the Rhoade Island Av. Metro station, what is now I think is part of the red line. I don't remember ever seeing guys hanging out in front of the complex.
