Saratoga Sunroof Top for an Early Porsche 944

eBay Score!!! I just purchased and installed an amazing Saratoga sunroof top for my 1983 Porsche 944. I've only seen glass tops for later 944 models, so I jumped on this top when I found it on eBay. The seller is awesome. He replied to my questions right away, packaged with care and shipped it via FedEx.

Hey JB what do the rear latches look like??? I have the original optioned Saratoga top for my 1987 944 Along with the factory hardtop, I’ve since converted to the manual and was looking to convert JUST THE LATCHES....

The latches are similar to the OEM latches except the rear latches each have a slot in the middle of the bar to move up and back in order to fit before the latches are locked. I’ll post a follow-up video that demonstrates the engineering within the next few days.

Yes, the glass top is a novelty. I typically keep the original top on. The sun is a beast too! Take care!
