Two years ago, I suffered injuries to tendons in both ankles that made them basically worthless. A tendon injury is as painful and as limiting as a broken bone. I needed lots of surgery, 4 of them in fact. I'm STILL not recovered and still trying to build back my strength. Injuries are really hard not only physically but mentally. The reason I'm writing this is I take a lot of inspiration from people like Saraya (and others like Edge and Danielson) who all came back from neck injuries. Saraya was out for five years. When I'm feeling sorry for myself I can say I'm only 40% through the journey she's been through. She is proof the human body is incredibly resilient, that it's never over, and you if you put your mind to it you can do it.

The historical retrospective on Britt Baker's position in AEW is so weird/unique: She's so clearly the only women's champion that has had a good run, but she's been overbooked and she's still a medium-sized fish in a very small pond. And still, she's better than the naysayers will give her credit for, while also *not* as good as the AEW defenders say she is. She takes over this promo in a moment where Saraya is clearly emotional and brings it back to an even playing field.
