Very good talk. Dr. Dickson says it is important to have a good pathologist determine what exactly type of sarcoma prior to treatment. This is so true, the wrong treatment could cause more harm. Thank you, Dr Dickson

Thank you for a much better understanding of liposarcoma! Question: can you give an idea of "slower vs more agressive" timelines for well- vs de-diff sarcomas?

PET scan or CT scan…which is best to reveal a liposarcoma tumor?

Both can be useful for liposarcoma. Typically CT scans are done for the lung or abdominal region. Also, insurance often requires CT to be done. However, the decision to complete CT, PET, or MRI depends on multiple factors and goals of what you are doing the scans for.
