I have been using ola S1 pro since February.Driven 4400 kms.Recently,i drove 98kms in a single day(43kms with pillion ) Combination of Normal,sport mode.Average speed of 50kmph.Top speed -87kmph.Listened to songs for 20 kms.Used navigation for 20kms.There was still 20 plus kms range at the end of the day.I used combination of regen and brakes to slow down the scooter once charging was below 75 percentage.I am happy 😃.

Though i have faced few issues and the scooter was taken to the service centre couple of times,they were software issues nothing wrong with hardware.I faced two hard ware issues,a cracked panel near the screen and sound coming from the front.These were repaired free of cost from the service team at my home.

I think the biggestt challenge for many people living in apartment buildings is to find a good and reliable charging point for the electric vehicle. RWA's until now are not designed keeping in mind the need of a charging point at homes...people with independent bunglows can easily get a charging point but in most metros people live in apartments where this is a major hurdle to switch to an EV.

Battery replacement cost is significantly lower than the cost of petrol over the period of 5 years. Also we've taken it for granted that you have to replace the whole battery instead of few damaged cells within the battery pack. I think EV companies should also do long term testing on their own in real world situation and on to prove how reliable the batteries are long term.

Few states also offer subsidy on EV so cost may come down. Similarly Ola offers extended other 5 years warrenty on battery etc on payment of Rs 8000 only. So you will not be required to purchase new battery upto 8 years if you opt for extended warrenty plan.

When you are suggesting an scooter you also have to consider that in India people even carry 3 to 4 people on single scooter (we all know this is not safe) but due to lack of electricity infra petrol scooter is more practical because electric scooter have limited range Thank you 🙏🏻

चंदन, मेरी activa 125 30 से 35 के बीच कहीं average देती है. 5. 5 साल की ownership हो गयी है. अब वक़्त है चेंज करने का. You will be shocked to know कि मेरा दिमाग मुझे अभी क्या recommend कर रहा है. देखो मेरी activa मुझसे 3.5 rupees per KM ले रही है और ev पर भरोसा अभी बना नहीं है क्योंकि हमारे एरिया में जब बरसात होती है तो मोटरसाइकिल भी 70 पर्सेन्ट पानी में डूबकर चलती है और क्या खूब चलती है including activa 125. और बिना परेशानी बन्दा घर पहुंच जाता है. EV का भगवान जाने क्या response होगा ऐसे आड़े वक़्त में. दूसरा अभी EV market जब तक HYBRID ( पेट्रोल plus battery) मे convert नहीं हो जाती, घुसना ठीक नहीं है. सो मेरा immediate decision जो है वो है Bajaj platina 110 purchase करने का जो कि onroad लगभग 80000 से 82000 बैठेगा. और average i assure you 70KMPL से कम नहीं मिलेगी. मतलब मेरी running cost 3.5 से 1.25 तुरंत आ जाएगी. Activa तुम जहां भी रहो खुश रहो.

I think this comparison only useful to people who lives in metros. Because in villages, 1. ev scooter can't climb steep rough roads with pillion. 2. No nearby showrooms. Even for small complaints customer has to travel many KMs(sometimes more than 200+KMs) for repairing or services. 3.lack of infrastructure hence cannot ride more than 40KMs. In villages people use their vehicles for travelling long distances. Not for travel few KMs as office workers in metro cities.

The range after each recharge keeps decreasing as time passes. I once heard of a person who could no longer get the range to go to his place of work and come back home after he had used his electric two wheeler for a couple of years. He switched back to petrol.

Few points are still missing in this video. 1. ev ka charger bhi to kharab hota hai like meri rv 400 ka hua i recently bought. new charger for 11000 2. meri bike saal me 4 to 5 time kharab hoti hai and every time i have to call someone to pick up my bike. Because I cannot get it fixed through a local technician. They don't know anything about Ev 3. Whenever I submit my bike. in Revolt service center. They keep it for a month. Because they don't have parts to fix it. On the other hand. Petrol, bikes and scooties. Every local technician keep the parts. And they know how to get it fixed. (it's almost three years. I have reviewed RV 400. i drived it only 16000 not because I drive less. It is because. Most of the time. My bike. Submitted on. Service center. Sometime they keep it for one month. Sometimes they keep it for. 1.5 months. And it happened with me. Three to four times in a year. so. They do this with me every year.)

EV scooters will obviously cost you less than petrol. Per/KM cost is unimaginable. But there is only one big drawback for a 2wheeler EV. You will only get 100km on a single charge no matter what current 2wheeler you buy. It's not that 100km on a single charge is not sufficient, even if you want to go on a trip with your ev scooter you can't go. At least in my place on weekends people ride their 2wheelers for trips of like 150km... on petrol you just fill up your tank instantly and increase your range... can't do same with ev.

आप की ये calculation से मैं सहमत नही हूँ। EV की battery की warranty होती है सिर्फ 3 साल , तीन साल बाद खराब होने पर कभी भी नई battery डलवानी पड़ सकती है। तो आप तीन साल की लाइफ माने ना कि 5 साल । EV में लगभग सभी कुछ electrical part's से control होता है और पेट्रोल में mechanical parts से। यहां EV की maintenance cost काफी ज्यादा होगी। कभी भी disply panal खराब हो सकता है, motor खराब हो सकती है, ओर कोई भी part कभी भी खराब हो सकता है। हाँ सबसे बड़ी बात overall petrol two wheeler की life EV से काफी ज्यादा रहेगी।
