Sarcoidosis, Causes, Signs and Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment.

I was 55 when my legs started hurting one day. By the end of that day I could hardly stand , and I had a few strange red spots around my ankles. That was the start of 5 months of horrible pain , many many hospital visits , several surgical procedures and a real nosedive in health. Sarcoidosis was diagnosed , over the past 3yrs I've made a reasonable recovery but it's taken a huge toll on me. I have consant leg joint and muscle pains , fatigue , random pains just about everywhere and always a little short of breath. It's a constant mental battle to ignore all that and get on with life , some days though are very dark. Luckily my wife and family are superb and always keep me positive.

@Doug791 I remember one of the first things I read about sarcoid was that they discovered it first in horses. I tell people that makes me a mule or a jackass. My issues are different but lungs screwed and it's in my brain. Hey Castor Oil that I just started has helped my pain but research it first.

If you're a fellow sufferer , try to stay as strong as possible in your mind. I know what you're going through , and we can't give in to it.👍❤

Can I ask what did you notice. What made you get checked? I FEEL I may ve dealing with this for SOOOO many reason😢 I have been sick for 7 months on going. Everything I keep hearing I keep going "OMG I am dealing with that"😔

Mine was diagnosed when my cough was severe & would not go away, & nothing helped it, no asthma meds or anything. Had the tests: PFT, CT, MRI, biopsy. I had gone to multiple doctors. Only one finally seriously looked for the answer. Sadly, extensive damage was already done to my lungs.

One of my friend is suffering with sarcoidosis since 2018 which has effected multiple organs. He has started taking steroid medicines. Also, he got side effects of sarcordosis like onculor,dermao, kidney stones ,calcuim deffeciency....etc. Unfortunately he was involved in a legal case and there are possibilities of getting Jail Term. Is it Safe for him to suffer in Jail with this Disease and its side effects. Due to Jail, his health may go more worse ?
