I think University is important for the development of different aspects of life and for the mass of population to study in a formal way. University teaches you discipline and gives you opportunity to meet and learn from different people .By that I don't mean you cannot learn on your own. Yes, you can self learn anything on your own pace as long as you're willing. But for the mass, you cannot just simply tell them go do what ever you want. I am not saying because I study in a prestigious university, in fact I study in a much cheaper institution than this

@@muhammadarslan3304 Exactly even you can't learn many things on your own without university... can you become doctor without doing MBBS? No. Can you become banker without doing BBA? No. Can you become lawyer without doing LLB? No. Can you become an accountant without ACCA/CA? No. Same goes with many other fields but some degrees like computer science, graphic design, information technology are useless since you can learn programming and design on your own and companies doesn't want degree in those areas.
