Not only is there not 120,000 political prisoners in Syrian jails, the vast majority of those who held arms and committed atrocities for long periods of time were pardoned by President Bashar Asad and some of them even became commanders of military regiments and mayors. These are the 'reconciled members' and their numbers is in the tens of thousands. Don't believe the propaganda churned by this despicable liar Omar It is obvious he is a talented actor reading from a script he rehearsed many times before. The monotonous and emotionless tone of his voice when describing imaginary and obviously false events that never happened give him away.

I'm so sorry to every Syrian that to goes through this, as a 21 yo Algerian youth,I've never lived a day in war, although my country went through 10 years of terrorism before I was born, I've never fled my home, and I've never been so close to what you guys have been through, I remember as a 10 yo watching KZbin videos about Syrian kids, at that time I cried so much and felt so much anger, but as I grew up I forgot that this is still happening, I used to see refugees in my city and I would feel bad for them and think that it's the worst they can experience, leaving their homes to be homeless in other countries, little did I know people like Omar went through hell and back, it's unfathomable how cruel it is, I love you and admire your strength so much, more power to you ❤

This is the first time I finish one of your podcasts in one full sitting. And this is also one of the few times I leave a comment. IMMENSE respect to Omar, and what a beautiful character he has. What he's been through is unimaginable, and to know that such atrocities are still occurring in the 21st century is a reminder that there is still a greater evil out there. Omar's story, who is still at the age of 25 or 26, just shows us that you anyone can go through through "hell" (extreme psychological and physical pain) and come out with a smile and a purpose in life which serves humanity as a whole and has love written all over it. Finally, thank you Médéa & Mouin for providing such a platform for individuals of all backgrounds to come and give a voice to the people that need to hear that they are not alone in their struggles, be it personal, political, financial... as well as providing a platform to educate people on a vast number of topics that are so interesting. In short, every podcast that you've done most probably shifted the viewer's reality or helped strengthen their beliefs in a better way.

لقد مررت بتجربة كتجربته .. هناك الكثير من التفاصيل لا يمكن ذكرها أيضاً بداخل السجون .. هناك أسباب وحشية جداً أكثر من ذلك بكثير .. قضيت عام وثلاثة أشهر ذقت فيها كل أنواع الألم .. تلك الندوب النفسية لازلت موجودة بداخلي .. أحاول هزيمتها على مر الأيام .. ماذا نقول .. ربما لو كتبت هنا آلاف الكلمات لن تكون كافية لشرح ما مررنا به .. لابد وأن ينتصر الحق في يوم ما على الظلم .. شكراً عمر

I am in shock. I am in tears. This is beyond what any of us can imagine, our brain can’t comprehend what he is even saying, because it’s beyond the impossible. Everyday we hear news that shock us more than the day before, but the fact that this is still an ongoing crisis and there are thousands STILL going through this is just something else. I no longer know how we can fix everything in this world, who’s in charge? who’s conducting this slavery and torture? How? Why? I don’t even know what to say anymore, this is the world we live in. To God we belong and to him we shall return and they will get their punishment. This story is so moving, it shows us that indeed there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Omar you have showed us the true meaning of strength, resilience, and hope. I can only imagine how inhumane and indescribable this experience must’ve been. May you reunite with Bashir and Rashad in Jannat Al Ferdous🙏🏼

How hard it was to hear him talk about his experience and the look in his eyes reliving it, and then reminding myself that this was his life, this was his reality, and what we heard was just a glimpse of it. Like most people living in the West (or in a cocoon that will soon blow up in your face if you happen to live in 🇱🇧) you are easily fooled. Omar is a professional liar with a clear agenda to discredit the Syrian Government but his body language and the monotonous tone of his voice that displays zero grief and zero emotion gives him away and exposes him to anyone with even a slight experience of people who actually did undergo hardships and horror during the Syrian Conflict (or any other conflict for that matter).
