I think it’s crazy to refer to it as “exaggerated”. It didn’t even show the most polarizing extremes. Just a quite poor family and a quite rich family- they could have shown much more extravagant wealth if they wanted to go for something exaggerated, and even then, those types of things usually do exist for that top percent which is most privileged

That rock is known as a Scholar's Stone and in Korean culture the Scholar's Stone is supposed to be an omen of prosperity and wealth. It essentially represents the societal system in South Korea that is saying you can make it, and then ends up becoming the very thing that ensures that Ki-woo will never succeed. This is so metaphorical.

Horse Mann him complaining about corporations rigging the market and then saying how it’s not true capitalism makes no sense. Like dude, that IS capitalism. You can’t limit corporations without limiting capitalism, they’re inherently tied to each other. If the state were to decide to regulate corporations to the point where they can’t rig the market, that would be a decision that makes the country less capitalist, not more so. It is literally the government interfering with the economy. It makes no sense to call a decision like that as being closer to “true capitalism”.
