Sarkhej Roza is a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of makraba, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat,India.
Sarkhej Roza was once a prominent center of Sufi culture in the country, Where influential Sufi saint Shaikh Ahmed Ganj Baksh lived.
The architecture of the complex is credited to Azam and Muazzam Khan, two Persian brothers
Sufi saint Shaikh Ahmed Ganj Baksh was a mentor of Ahmadshah.
He died in 1445. In his honor Muhammad Shah II started making a tomb in 1445, And was finished by his son Qutbuddin in 1451.
The next Sultan Mahmud Begda expanded the complex greatly,
he made a large Sarkhej lake, surrounded with cut stone steps.
