im in the same boat. same reason of rejection. super hard to live in Toronto with 1 source of income. i didnt expect that it will take 5 months for restoration of status. struggle is real 😅 i should have watched this before i applied for OWP extension. Thanks guys for sharing!

Na receive ko po yung refusal letter nang owp work permit extension and sp minor student permit extension and restoration of their status application. Yung sa akin naman is still on process pa. Ibig bang sabihin na hindi pwede mag work si owp kasi wala na cyang status? Pero meron po siyang 18mos extension work permit po, pwede po ba siyang mag work?

Hello po Sarkie and Eileen, ano po ba dapat i fill up sa IMM5701E form sa questionaire number 7 under status po, foreign national ba or worker padin? nag try po ako sa worker pero ano po dapat date ang ilagay? same po tayo ng case, nakalimotan naming ilagay yong PGWP holder which is misis ko ang employment letter and pay stubs during on line application.

Hi Aileen and Sarkie, My hubby;s OWP expired on Sept 25, 2024 and his OWP was refused. Correct me if I'm wrong po. He has 90 days to apply for restoration of status right? His work was a skilled job (CNC Machine Operator). Now comes the complicated part, last September 6, 2024 na laid off siya sa work (downsizing coz of slow down). Will this affect. Naka 1 year and 9 months siya sa kanyang work.

Na refused n kasi mag ama ko sa extension of their respective permits po same refusal grounds for owp, yung sp work is not noc oab job and yung sp minor ko is need daw nang loanfrom univ. May mali din kasi ako eh. Hindi ako nag submet nang COE and school docs nang anak ko like enrollment letter. pero si owp meron po siya nong 18mos owp work permit extension until march 2025. Question: do i still need to reapply the owp even if meron pa naman cyang valid na work permit? Si sp minor need ko talaga nang i reapply to restore his status. I tried also to submit a reconsideration thru webform. I got an email that they received the documents but until now no updates po. Ano na po kaya ang aking gagawin? Meaning kaka-graduate palang po right? So paano po magkaka full time work and a skilled one at that? Does it mean we need to secure a full time job kaagad kahit patapos palang sa school?
