Sorry for the poor quality of some of the clips. It took a while to hunt down every scene. Anyway, this is the last of the Steins;Gate pachinko videos and this one is centered around Daru. The story itself is based off of the Light Novel "Steins;Gate The Distant Valhalla".

If you really think about it, Daru matured over the years. He didn't abandon Okarin because of his guilt of not saving Mayuri, but his family's safety comes first. It was the right thing for him to do, (although his daughter is destined to go back in 2011 to meet Okarin and die in 2000) so he made the most of it. He could continue the time machine research but his time with his family will be shorter and top of that, the time machine won't be built until 2036. Knowing that outcome, Daru choose to spend more time with his family. Also, Daru is the only character I've seen in weddings who wears a cap.

It is a fucking crime that they didn't at the veyr least make ova's of these stories. Sad, cute, beautiful, and it makes the story more complete. I wish someone would fund this. Maybe now after Steins Gate 0 is going to be very succesful they are going to do it.

Damn it all. After playing Steins;Gate 0 I thought this franchise couldn't make me cry anymore. I now accept the reality I can't not cry, this shit is so deep and sad but so beautiful. If anyone hasn't, please find some way to play 0 because it explains everything that led up to the video Okabe sends himself from the future to save Christina. It's a fantastic game that kept me engrossed until the very end.

This is absolutely amazing. Thanks you so much for uploading it, Sarkkoth. Hero!. Now I have no words; I just end Distant Valhalla fan VN made from the history of distant Valhalla. Its so sad and hurtful, is it? Now I understand why Suzuha didn't remember to meet Okabe in the future; that's because Daru split ways for the sake of his family. But it is just like the attractor fields that converge in an unskippable future. I don't want to accept this. Okabe made a promise to Kurisu to meet her again and change the future. I know this is the history of the resistance and the seed for the world, which is Suzuha, but... I really want Okabe to be able to change this. If he is killed by Nae in five years, he can avoid that. The Dmail is the only way to escape the attration field influence; I don't want this to be all of Distant Valhalla; this drama of this history deserves its own official VN. Maybe if someone uses the Dmail in the future, even if it is not Okabe, it could change the past into a brilliant future, and that could be part of operation Valkyrie too. I hope we can see more of this history in the future.

In the Alpha world lines (where SERN rules in the future, and where Mayuri dies in 2010), where Suzuha came to 2010 to find his dad but had a hard time since he died before she was born in the future and therefore she had no idea what he looked like.

They all have different levels of what you'd consider canon. The faris, mayuri, and suzuha ones are from the VN so they're canon. The kurisu and moeka ones are from drama cds so they're not exactly considered canon but sidestories that add to the main story. And this daru one is based off of the light Novel "Steins;Gate The Distant Valhalla".
