Lyrics were cut throat and that's what truth sounds like. Perhaps, near-truth because some of the details in the song corroborated the information in the book. Yvonne put the secret out and he has every right to also defend his brand and personal reputation if lies were told. Personally, I believe her relationship life has been affected by her daddy issues, hence the trauma bonds she was involved in. She was looking for her dad in every other man. I can understand why she is bitter, but she needs to go for therapy. See a shrink and make healing the goal so she can raise her daughter in full love and bliss.
