This is because businesses are quite fragile in Pakistan, and the stock market is directly influenced by business performance and the political situation. To achieve financial stability, it is crucial to first build a strong foundation through real estate. Once you have established a steady passive income, you can explore investments in stocks and Bitcoin. However, putting all your eggs in the stock market could lead to significant risks and unpleasant surprises.

You're partially correct. Historically, real estate returns have been high due to tax concessions and evasion, which attracted significant speculative capital into the sector. However, with the introduction of taxes in real estate, speculation has been curbed, and the future prospects in this area will primarily be driven by rental income & construction. For the first time in Pakistan’s history, tax equity is being implemented across sectors, signaling a shift. I firmly believe the winds are changing, and regulated sectors like the stock exchange will perform much better than real estate in the long run. Regarding political instability, while it does contribute to market volatility in the short run, it does not impact long-term market trends or performance. In fact, short-term volatility can be an intelligent investor’s best friend, providing opportunities for doubling down on shares and reaping greater compounding over time. Businesses in Pakistan are thriving, and even during the past decade, arguably the worst in Pakistan’s history, companies have 10x their revenue if not more, especially those earning in US dollars, such as those in the power and E&P sectors. Given these insights, I respectfully disagree that real estate is the best sector for achieving financial freedom. True wealth is built through the power of compounding, which is best realized in the stock market. While it may be a slow and patient process, it has been the foundation of wealth for many billionaires like Warren Buffett.
