4" and 5" refers to lift over stock. Stock ride height of a straight axle pickup truck hilux. The leafs were designed as replacements for solid axle Toyota pickups but are sold as part of trial gears ifs illuminator kits. So it probably doesn't mean much regarding stock ride height of ifs pickups and 4runners but can be used as a point of reference on which trail gear leafs were used.

I picked up a one owner 95’ 4Runner w/ a manual last yr with just over 100k. Clean, clean interior and red exterior paint about a 7/10. Zero rust.

Nice rig. That front axle probably isn’t a 4runner axle if it’s from 1983 as they first started in 184. It looks like it’s from a pickup since it has a shorter bottom truss.

I do believe you are right, I must have read it wrong in the video because it most definitely is a pickup front axle

My favorite vehicle ever owned was a 91 4runner. I sold it cause of a leaky fuel filter that I thought was just terrible gas mileage 🤦 (Sold to my cousin that cracked oil pan and blew the motor from lack of oil) I have a 2001 4runner now, but I sure miss that tailgate

when you said 4" spings in the front and 5" springs in the rear, it could've been in reference to the shackle length.

What type of shock hoops in front ?

I’m going to assume they’re the trail gear hoops, all the other components for the SAS are trail gear and I doubt the previous owner did any custom fabrication. Thank you for watching!

You don’t need 18” coilovers. It’s not a buggy. You’ll have plenty of travel with 12s maybe 14s coilovers.
