Just found your KZbin page. Outstanding. I hunt most weekends here in Australia & this veil idea is brilliant. Light weight, multiple uses. Now to start tying jute. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next video.

Thanks buddy, the extra warmth of the scrim veil, will keep you nice and warm in those summer days in Australia, joking aside mine has been a God send. Happy making. Bex

Liked the gillie scrim 👍🏻 I thought about sewing a scrim into my boonie hat as a face veil for concealment. The sniper veil. Liked the way you put yours around your face found that useful. I'll put one in my boonie hat so it just drops down over my face. Like your useful tips bex 👍🏻

Did see an American lad put his scrim net tucked in over the top of his boonie hat which he then used to cover his rifle. Was effective. The aplenflage swiss army jackets have a sniper veil in the hood of the jacket. The jacket is also load bearing instead of having webbing. These came about after WW2. Late 50's/ 60's. You can still get hold of them for around £30. Also has a back pack which is separate from the jacket. Think there about £10-£15 for the rucksack that goes with the jacket. Can't remember the precise name if it's M59 or M70 jacket? Camo was based on the last WW2 German army design which was invented near the end of WW2. Swiss aplenflage jacket M70. Have a look at them. I think military mart sell them. 👍🏻 Like your tips bex.👍🏻 🙂 🇬🇧 🔥

Hey I know this video is five years old but I've just found the channel and I love it. Do you have any suggestions of online stores that sell things like scrim and other camps. Thanks

Most of my kit is from car boot sale. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYLOoaqgrqqrqc0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3nRqHiifaiYqJo kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5vadHaDg7B8sJo I recommend supporting your local analogue store. Google your nearest, and jump on the bus or train, and take a visit (after lockdown) with a few quid, for a great day out. Thanks for watching, I have inserted a few links to see my carboot finds. Sorry I couldn't help more.....Take care mate...bex

I like the mossy oak netting, but do you feel it's a bit to dark? A black face doesn't seem much better than a light one?

This project is taking me forever! In order to get the density I want (based on seeing ghillie suits etc) it's taking longer and more jute than I ever imagined. I think I am at maybe 100 meters so far and it's not quite half done. I just ordered an amount of 100 meters to hopefully get it sorted. I am waiting on some green I want to add in there. But in time I will likely get another scrim scarf and make a way more green one too.

Tie multiple lengths of jute, and comb it with a steel cat comb.

@@bexbugoutsurvivor I think I messed mine up. It's too fine. I need larger fatter strands and less close. Most ghillie type things I see are not as finely covered as what I have done so far. I bought another scrim net scarf and will try again.
