We love this carrier!! We never do knots/ties over baby's back though, so it doesn't interfere with the natural c-shape of his spine, we just go under the bum and do a twist. Happy, secure, supported baby!

I bought mine today and I love it! I wore my son who is a newborn, 3weeks old 8-9lbs, and it fits him wonderfully and supports his head just fine. If you follow the first style in the steps of infant wearing their legs are not smashed, strained or parted. The other moms who worried about "legs parted too far apart" need to relook at the recommended instructions about infant positions. It's a lot easier to use than it looks btw and is very easy to adjust to fit both you and your baby. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to a boba 3g carrier and I think I may even like it more! at 30$ from target, it's a great buy!

My 10 month old still wants to be held/worn constantly and my other carrier doesn't do the hip position so I ordered this one. I love how affordable this brand is. my other carrier is an infantino as well and we love it but it just doesn't do the hip carry. I hope we love this one just as much. can't wait until we get it.

Kelly - the double knots are not hard to undo. They are easy to untie, but do not slip out when you are walking around.

Your not supposed to tie behind the babies back becsuse it takes baby out of his/her natural c shape. I hsve the carrier snd use other ties for him.

Mayra Milagros Zuñiga Alva you have to cinch the panel so it is more narrow under his bum. You can use a string. There are KZbin videos that show you how

My 4 month old isn't a fan of having her legs around me in the front. Any suggestions?
@InfantinoBaby9 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, the very little ones don't like having their legs totally wrapped around mom in a seated position. Small infants that want to keep their legs together can be carried like the newborn at 2:45 in the video. Hope that helps.

Hi what's the difference between Wrap &Tie vs Mei Tai? can I use wrap & tie for newborn? Couldn't decide which one to get. Help please.

No difference in their structure, they are the same style of carrier. You can use the holds in this demo with any of our Mei Tai or Wrap & Tie products.

Can this be used when both mom and baby are wearing outerwear?
@InfantinoBaby9 жыл бұрын
+Sheriann Holder Yes, it can. Though, you'll need to make sure little one isn't overheated. And, if they are in a big, poofy style coat that restricts movement (like bunting), check to make sure they are not getting their circulation cut off when they legs are in the sitting/bucket position.

How about baby facing forward can this be done with mei tie?
@ryleyculver321510 жыл бұрын
I don't think so... It would be pretty uncomfortable for baby. But really, the general consensus seems to be that it's best for babies to face in -- not out. Personally, I think forward-facing carries are okay for short periods of time, but I wouldn't do it too often.

What are the leg hole loops for?
@InfantinoBaby9 жыл бұрын
Jesse Cottrell There are optional loops to act as guides if you need them, but we found most parents prefer to not use them since it's faster to put on if you aren't threading the loops. They don't make any difference from a functional or safety perspective. It's simply a guide for parents that need a little extra help knowing where the sashes cross. Thanks for the great question!

The hood is an extra add on. It's not like the ergo baby carrier.
@InfantinoBaby10 жыл бұрын
Alyssa - The hood is included with the Infantino Mai Tei. It's not an add-on. There is a similar product, no longer available at retail, call the Wrap & Tie. This early carrier did not include a hood. But, hoods are now standard on all our new carriers. Hope that helps!

Infantino can you back tie when your baby is in the first (newborn) position?
@InfantinoBaby9 жыл бұрын
Joy Powell No. When they are that small, they aren't able to support their head in such a way that back carrying would be safe.
@speakoflovetome8 жыл бұрын
This looks hard to do but I'll manage 😁
@InfantinoBaby8 жыл бұрын
It is a little more complex than a buckle carrier, but so comfortable when you get the hang of it it. We suggest practicing a few times with a stuffed animal to get comfortable. After a few times, it starts to feel automatic and pretty simple.
@speakoflovetome8 жыл бұрын
+Infantino I'll be traveling soon so I'll need all the practice I need. Thanks for the stuffed animal tip 👍

what position is best for a 3 mo?
@InfantinoBaby8 жыл бұрын
Babies all develop a little differently. If your little one can't hold their head up independently yet, please use the first position (Infant Facing-In). If your little one has mastered head control, you can try the Older Baby Facing-In position with baby's legs outside the carrier. Only try the back pack style carry once the child can sit up independently. Thanks!

What are the leg hole loops for?
@InfantinoBaby7 жыл бұрын
They are optional. You can choose to thread the ties through them, or not. It does not increase the security, but some families like to use them because it helps them know everything is in the right place.
