Lyrics I remember when your dad got sick Wasn't a mountain that you wouldn't move You gave everything you had to give 'Cause you knew you had everything to lose One day, I'll take care of you like you took care of him I'll drive you to the mall, I'll stock your bar with gin I'll love you through the lows, just like you always did One day before we know it, parents become the kids I remember when I couldn't sleep You were always there by my side And if someone ever broke my heart You would dry all the tears that I cried And one day, I'll take care of you like you took care of me I'll drive you to the mall, I'll buy your groceries I'll love you through the lows, just like you always did One day before we know it, parents become the kids And it might never happen But if I ever have them I hope that Someday they'll take care of me like I'll take care of them They'll drive me to the mall, they'll be there in the end They'll love me through the lows, just like you always did One day before we know it, there ain't much life to live One day before we know it, parents become the kids

I can't swallow this song... For a long period now, I have been feeling anxious whenever I thought of the possibility that my parents could pass away any moment. I have been feeling very sensitive to their love they give me, each day, I feel it more and more and it brings me to tears to imagine one day, I'll have to do it on my own. That kind of new reality without them, scares me a lot. I am so grateful for my parents and what they have done for me and still do!

Always told my Grandma that when I finally get the job, that she'll be the first I'll spend most of my money on. She took over care of me and my brother when I was 5 years old until I graduated College at 22. She passed away before I could fully develop into a man capable of giving back to her. I always dreaded the idea of her passing away but I knew it deep inside due to her age and declining health. When the day came, I was so calm it was unexplainable. Then when the day came to bring her to her final resting place, me and my brother were announced and considered her extended children. 😢❤ Loved her to the moon.

I have been taking care of my mother who's sick for years now so everything in my life stopped for her. In a way it angered me that I had to give up everything for her. But today I came across this song and I cried, this song made me remember my mother's love and sacrifice for me since I was a baby once again. And to think that I was selfish enough to get tired of taking care of her. I'm so sorry, I'll take care of you like you took care me, mom. And to Sasha Sloan, thank you so much for this song. You've given me a new meaning to life. ❤️ God bless you.

We’re just kids, we’re just kids 'cause we’re all just trying to figure it out." The song has a melancholy yet hopeful tone, typical of Sloan’s introspective style, blending deep emotional lyrics with mellow melodies. It speaks to the universal experience of growing up and feeling like we're all just trying to navigate life as we go.

Ohh soo sweet song. My mother had a postpartum syndrome when i was in 5 grades. Everyone laugh at her because she do a crazy things. Sometime she missing for couple of months, and thinking she ckme home with dead body. As a kid, i pray every single day to save my mother. That nightmare that i dont want the other kid experience. Now i am the one who take care of her financially, build a house for her, so she stay home. I take care also for my younger siblings, because i dont want to see my mother stress about it. My mother do not support me in my school, but i finish because she gave me strengt to fight and conquer everything. I love her soo much and thanks for this song. Now i am happy, that they dont laugh at her anymore, instead they proud of her, because she was crazy but have a loving daughter who support her. Lesson learn, when someone have a bad time, dont laugh instead just pray for them to gettjng better.

I love this song, it means a lot to me. My mum had cancer, two years before she passed away I quitted my job to look after her 24/7. She suffered a lot and she was like kid. She couldn’t go outside the house. I wished I knew that there were videos of her hometown and country on KZbin so that she could watched. I guess that by watching these videos about places she used to go when she was younger that would make her forgot her pain and relieve her pain for at least one hour. It was when I started making these videos after she passed away that I found out that we do have these kind of videos on KZbin. Thanks to my friends who help me doing these videos. She will be always in my heart.

And the fact is it's just the day I die people will mourn. After that. Nothing matters. No one will remember what I liked and what I cared about. No one would praise me for my achievements or no one will think about the times I failed. Nothing here really matters. Happy live your life and don't just survive. It's short and you gotta take something with you even though they won't remember. Live the moment. Love who you wanna love. Hope life gets easier for everyone. Just know that at the end of the day it's gonna be fine. And a day will come that won't haunt you anymore. Please take care of yourselves. Much love ❤
