Listening to this after House With no Mirrors is like... weird, but in a good way. In 'smiling when I die' she talks about how she doesn't want to have regrets in her life anymore so she can feel like her life was well lived. However, in her latest song, 'House With no Mirrors', she talks about the feeling of regret that fills her when she thinks about how different her life would be if she had no worries about her appereance. It's like she's saying that she still struggles with self steem and it's ok to not feel so positive sometimes, and that we - people that go through highs and lows with our self image - can still have days that we feel like our past would have influenced our future in a better way if it was better enjoyed.

Is it bad now that Queen Sasha's new fans have been made aware of her talent and greatness through the recommendation of another artist? Don't get why the comment section sounds so triggered when in fact her new fans did not forget to mention how happy they were to be made aware of another hidden gem. They're just crediting the other artist (Jhope I believe) who recommended and it's their way of thanking him also. Besides, I wouldn't want to experience that if Queen Sasha was the one to then recommend a masterpiece, the new fans of another artist will have the same response.
@feonasang13673 жыл бұрын
Ikr. I wanted to say this. Not everyone knows her and her fans seems angry that more people found out about her. Like they're not disregarding sasha's talents by mentioning jhope. These things are too overrated in situations like this.

shouldn't you still feel happy that more people still got to know her? she totally deserves the recognition cause she's amazing, but you'll see a lot of talented artists don't get the attention they deserve. and you can't really blame anyone for that. and if any other artist recommends even if it's someone famous it's still amazing cause it means they find their music appealing and support it. it only serves as another way for people to find talented artists support them as well. it's a good thing. i mean it's just another way to find something great. a start for a lot of people. how come you just don't feel happy that more people got to hear this beautiful song and maybe the other songs of her as well. i get wanting your favorite artists to get their own recognition through their own music, this is still another way of that isn't it?? it's still her music people love.

people like to gatekeep because there are few things in this world that they feel is "theirs" so once a gem like Sasha is made known, these gatekeepers feel entitled and think they know better. can't they see that we're all sad people here who found healing and comfort by listening to Sasha's songs? i just think it's childish

Yesterday felt like my graduation Now some of those kids have got their own Been a while since I took a vacation It's been a while since I really let go Don't wanna look back Thinking I could've done this, or I could've tried that Don't wanna look back 'Cause it's going by fast I'ma call my mother It's been a while since I've been home Take a trip in the summer See all the lights in Tokyo Get lost in the desert Just to see what I can find So when it's my time, I I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) Yesterday felt like my first day working Now I'm not the youngest on the clock Been a while since days were just for burning It's been a while since I threw back a shot Don't wanna look back Thinking I could've done this, or I could've tried that Don't wanna look back 'Cause it's going by fast I'ma call my mother It's been a while since I've been home Take a trip in the summer See all the lights in Tokyo Get lost in the desert Just to see what I can find So when it's my time, I I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) There's been a couple times that I fell in love But a couple times just ain't enough There's been a couple joints that I couldn't share But I guess I gotta start somewhere I'ma call my mother It's been a while since I've been home Take a trip in the summer See all the lights in Tokyo Get lost in the desert Just to see what I can find So when it's my time, I I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die) I'm smiling when I die (when I die, when I die)

I've been listening to you for a minute and I've learned something. It's okay to be sad about things, it's okay if things seem to never work out, in reality, some people just don't have a peachy life. But, as alone as I am. I can comfortably say, I've lived a bittersweet life so far. I've done almost everything I've dreamed of, but all of those events I did alone without any companions. It's just how life has worked it out for me if I do grow old alone which seems to be the case, I'll pass away happy that I did everything I wanted but sad that I didn't have anyone to share those memories with. What a bittersweet life, thank you Sasha. Seriously, your music is very relatable to a lot of us who life just keeps on the backburner.
