When I was nineteen I backpacked across Western Europe. On the night I arrived in Pisa, i could not find the hostel that i wanted to sleep in so I rolled out my sleeping bag and slept next to the Leaning Tower. I can see exactly the spot where I slept in Sasha's video here. I woke up around 6AM and walked up to the top of the tower. Then I came down and had breakfast at a small restaurant that was directly across from the Tower. I sat there watching the world awake that day at 7AM. I can still feel the vitality in that moment and the memory is almost sacred inside myself. A big thank you for Sasha for helping me to recall my personal experience... Oh, one last thought, I went up those steps in 1977. At that time, there were no iron guards preventing you from falling out of the Tower. And the open sections on the part of the Tower that was leaning over were quite scary.
