One of my best friends introduced me into Sasha, especially into this album. He was there when I was at my lowest point of life. We were listening to this album und hat the greatest time while I was recovering from a breakup. Now, I am engaged to this love of my life and I am not able to share it with my friend due to his death of cancer. He was the beste. He became only 32. Love him. I am listening to this album, trying to be in touch with him. Miss you Patrick. RIP

@@orlduniverse Those are great albums that pushed a lot of things forward. But their craft was much more developed by the time they made the Expeditions and Communicate albums. And nothing on either of those first two Northern Exposure albums can compare with the mastery and technical prowess of Involver 1. They would tell you the same thing; they were just scratching the surface in 96'. But all of those albums deserve to be in the "Hall of Fame."

So many memories to his music. The man is simply a modern-day maestro. The first sasha set I heard was in 1998, GU 009 San Francisco. There was a pretty young lady I liked at the time, and she loved this type of music. So I put it on for her at a house party. We hung out and vibed to the music, but there was no chemistry, and the only thing we really had in common was this genre of music, which was mostly new to me at the time. Nevertheless, the pursuit of a young lady led me to 25 years of joy in sasha's music. I may have lost a connection with the young lady, but I gained a quarter-century of aural bliss.

I bought a promo copy of this from a second-hand record store in Manchester probably the year it was released (can't believe that 2004 is now 13 years ago, but that's another story). The opening track captivated me and still does. One of the best pieces of dark progressive house I've ever heard with a mesmerising beat. My copy had a digitised voiceover saying "Global Underground - promotional copy" which for me feels like an integral part of the song! Overall I suppose the album is a little bit inconsistent style-wise - it's all good, but it jumps around a bit stylistically in the second half. But it's a brilliant listen. Hasn't aged at all.

I think this was Sasha's first all digital album. He's a techie dj always up with the newest dj tech and trends. One of the best a true GOAT. The stuff Sasha and Digweed put out is unreasonably stupid good. Highest level DJing. Almost too good. Almost fine tuned. Now I'm suspicious. Is Sasha really this good? Nobody's this good. I call bullshit. This stinks of Devine Intervention of some kind. He DJ'S like Ramanujan did math.

This is a great album. Though "Airdrawndagger" and the "Xpander" EP are my personal favorites, this one is top-notch.

This has to be one of the best electronic music albums ever made! A decade later I can still appreciate like the first day I heard it! Thanks Sasha!!! Hope you keep making great music for a long time.

I heard Sasha play in Baltimore, and the last track he played was On My Own. Involver hadn't been released yet so nobody recognized his version. What an amazing scene. He walked through the crowd after and I was able to meet him. Super humble guy.
