Puppet ninjutsu is probably one of the most creative powers I've seen in fiction. I loved when it was first introduced by Kankuro, and every time he showed up I was invested in the fight. Sasori was the pinnacle of puppet mastery, after he died it fell off and wasn't really seen again.

Sasori is hands down my favorite Naruto character. He had the coolest jutsu and his backstory tied in with the sand village. Puppet Jutsu is one of the coolest styles of combat in Naruto and Sasori showed how much potential that style has.

Pain has the ability to remove and displace souls. I assume he was a major part of Sasori's transition into being a puppet. Also, in the "Creation of the Akatsuki" film, Konan confronts Sasori, and there's some convincing evidence from that scene to prove the Sasori was a normal human at the time.

For me, the akatsuki were one of the most fascinating and complex organisations in all anime. Every member had his own motivs, unique technices, complex character build up and backstorys.. they were great. I dont see kara topping them in any way.

It makes a certain degree of sense, in that crazy anime sort of way. Sasori's human puppets main advantage is they maintained all their jutsu from life. meaning, sasori found a way to preserve their chakra system inside the puppet's body, maybe in a way not too different than what we see with him(just that their core isn't sentient) Then keep in mind the fact he was partners with orochimaru, who's entire field of expertise is in human experimentation, body alteration and paths towards extending one's life/transfering one's soul/essence etc His heart core is probably just an application of his human puppet technique(which is how the core maintains all his chakra) combined with orochimaru's expertise at transferring souls/essence, which put Sasori's actual being into this core(which was no doubt specially prepared to be able to contain it) He'd have no shortage of test subjects to perform dry runs on with orochimaru's prisons just full of waiting "volunteers", so I have no doubt by the time he actually did it to himself, he'd probably gone over every aspect of the process using disposable test subjects first. it probably was NOT his first try when he did it to himself.

To me i say sasori used some forbidden hidden sand jutsu that he modified/developed and had experimented on before he left the the hidden sand and he had a little help from someone that he eventually killed probably it was hidden sand black ops experiment who knows at this point to transfer his mind and soul and into his ultimate puppet body flesh tube. Yeah, Sasori's send-off during the War was pretty good and a nice way to open the war I also enjoyed that Granny Chio episode, even though it was Filler, but I feel the Filler during the War was pretty good as it expanded on many reanimated Ninja and even some other minor characters: We got to know some more about some of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Shino got a cool episode dealing with one of Danzo bodyguards Torane, and many other things that were pretty cool which is why I recommended the Filler during the War, well just the ones that added more to the War, not the stuff that completely interrupted the War to tell something completely different I hate when Filler does that.

As someone with somewhat of a puppetphobia, ai find it fascinating that Sasori is one of my favorite Akatsuki - members along Pain. Headcanon but I think Sasori kinda reflects on what might've happened to Sasuke if he would've been truly alone. Sasori is so cool and the Gugutsu no jutsu is awesome. Another headcanon: the Path of Pain with the rockets and things is either a Puppet made my Sasori or someone who upgraded themselves into mostly a Puppet like Sasori. So a fan or creation either way.

Not while she and Chiyo are fighting the horde of puppets... Chiyo was focused on her elite puppets and Sakura wasn’t being controlled then. Chiyo said herself at one point earlier in the battle that Sakura didn’t even need her help in avoiding Sasori’s attacks anymore (at first she definitely did, but she improved).

My favorite akatsuki member yay! Also I don’t know why but I always get this feeling Johnny young Bosch is more in his element when he plays a bad guy or someone not completely good. Hmm weird. I actually wonder how sasori made the mouth piece of his puppet body look so real and human like and also why he never did this with his other puppets? Honestly he’s got the most saddest backstory when it comes to the origins of the other earlier members. But that’s just my opinion. Also still love that he basically let himself get beat.

Interesting Possibility: Based on possible timeline hints and placements, it's very likely that Sasori fought and killed the 3rd Kazekage (the strongest Kazekage, second only to 4th War & Beyond Gaara) before gaining both his puppet body & the vast majority of his human puppets. Sasori is strong... and the fact that Chiyo mentioned that Sasori could've easily finished off both Chiyo & Sakura, but instead chose to die for unknown reasons.

Sasori needed that core, not just for chakra, but because that's the limit to the extent he can turn himself into a puppet without just killing himself as that's his beating heart in that container.

Kakazu used hearts for new/different elemental chakra generation so makes sense. Perhaps the cylinder has a seal on it sealing his soul/heart idk but there is writing on it

OK now we are talking, ever since I first watched Naruto Sasori has always been my favorite member also the Puppet Jutsu don't know why but it always seemed so cool to me. Also won't lie, I loved the sound the puppets make. So yeah in general Sasori is one badazz Pinocchio.
