Hadih Claire🤲 Sne kalyegh 🤲 for sharing. So brave of you and to share to the world. Take care of yourself, my dear. My dad seen Sasquatch in Wetsuwet'en territory, just off highway 16, off our reserve. He seen this being kneeling in the ditch. This was in the early 80s. And the same day, I was told one of our cousin was driving in the same area, saw this wild man of the woods. We have a word, in our language, but forgot how. My goodness, I used to walk the highway to go to friends as a child, in the 80s. I believe, I had guardian angels watching over me, I could have been apprehended by strangers, or by wildlife. Just amazing story, Claire. 🌌

ive listened to several dozen episodes now, read a few books, and by no means am an expert ; but in all these episodes there is one very strong thru line in peoples accounts; over and over again they say, '' if he wanted to kill me i would have been dead. no question! i would have had not a chance to escape that overwhelming power and wrath" Only 1 story here that ive listened to - has told the story of a woman husband who went to a nearby campground ''hunting for squatch' and i believe that account was reported by a policeman who investigated the case, and found that guy torn limb from limb., but the overwhelming number of stories are of people who are NOT going out looking for this. but just happen to be in the ' wrong place at the right time ' and overwhelmingly they report. that Sasquatch behaviour is aimed at scaring and driving people out of their territory. ....they seem territorial in the extream to be sure ! but ...ive come to wonder over and over again since they are so obviously intelligent ; if they dont have a LAW that forbids them to kill us ? unless we attack first ! .... more and more ive come to think this ; especially in light of how many people say that they feel these being are ANCIENT - and look upon US as if we are the dangerous, primitive and immature species !

This is the one story I simply cannot get over. So vivid. So frightening. The small details of what frightened her are too personal to be contrived. The “big pink mouth” isn’t a detail an author would think to use as a device to scare. It’s not a scary image… until you live it.

Incredible story, am from the UK and am obsessed with these Sasquatch encounters. Definitely agree with you that the US government are covering this up. It's annoying cause we want to know more about these creatures but at the same time I can understand why they are covered up, the amount of game hunters that would like a sasquatch head mounted on their walls would be ridiculous. For that reason I can understand why they should be protected or covered up so to say. Amazing podcast as usual 👍👍👍👍👍

Wow what an account! Seems like she may have been hit by some infrasound maybe, and that caused her to lose consciousness? She said that she felt sick right before passing out. Also the mention of the creature having an erection and pissing everywhere is really interesting. I've heard several other accounts of encounters, where the creature had an erection and were pissing everywhere. And in every account it happens when the creature is worked up and being aggressive. A friend of mine who I used to work with had an encounter in the Missouri Ozarks, he said that he was pretty much chased out of the woods and back to his jeep. He said that when he got in his jeep he looked back in the direction he came running from, and said that the creature was standing there at the trail head whooping and snarling and screaming, and that it had an erection and pissing every. He said at first he thought it was a stick, but then recognized it as the creature's manhood when it started pissing everywhere. He said it was really strange and terrifying too because the creature looked like it was smiling at him. Not baring it's teeth in an aggressive kind of way, but actually smiling.

I am a huge fan of Wes and his show and I am very open minded to the possibility of the Sasquatch phenomenon being very real, however with all due respect to Wes and his guest I am having a difficult time with Claire's story. I grew up in that particular part of California (Monterey) and spent a great deal of time fishing all up and down the coast near Carmel. Highway 1 runs right along the coast and traffic is quite busy most of the time. There is very little wilderness area between the highway and the ocean which means the family of Sasquatch would have to cross the highway to reach the sea. Neither I nor any of my friends who also frequently hike and fish the region have ever seen or heard of anyone in the area seeing these creatures along the beach. I'm not saying it didn't happen or that it isn't possible but I have serious doubts.

Yes I also don't beleive this encounter, she does sound sincere but I know the area you are talking about. Not likely a group of bigfoot are going to be hanging around the beach there. Way too much human activity along the beach there.
