Let's not forget what role Gibsons Les Pauls played in Rock history . As Keith tends to use them as well. I've had a 72 LP since 73 & it's served me well over the years. Also a 74 Walnut finish SG Standard. So to be honest i don't deny the Firebird as one of Gibsons most iconic axes it was not the only best of Gibsons line ups for Metal or hard Rock.
